Trump amplifies Savage warning: Mamdani, ‘communist bastards’ must be ‘criminalized and deported’

by

President Donald Trump is once again putting the spotlight on what he sees as the growing influence of socialism inside the Democratic Party, this time by sharing a blistering video from veteran conservative broadcaster Michael Savage that left little doubt about where the battle lines are being drawn ahead of the next election cycle.

The video, originally posted by Savage on Independence Day and later shared by Trump on Truth Social, focused heavily on New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and the broader rise of Democratic Socialist candidates around the country. The repost comes as Trump has spent weeks warning that Democrats are moving beyond traditional liberalism and embracing what he has repeatedly described as outright communism.

Savage did not mince words.

Referring to Mamdani and other Democratic Socialists, Savage declared, “These are hardcore communist bastards who must be stopped, criminalized and deported.”

He continued, “I don’t give a sh*t what the Supreme Court says! I don’t give an F what The New York Times says! Decriminalize the Democrat Socialist Party and deport them now, before you lose your freedom and your life.”

The longtime radio host argued that Americans should not be distracted by what he characterized as a softer public image presented by socialist politicians. Comparing their rhetoric about government-funded programs to historical communist movements, Savage warned viewers not to confuse modern Democratic Socialism with the social-democratic systems often cited in Scandinavian countries. Trump’s decision to repost the video immediately drew attention across the political spectrum and reignited debate over the growing influence of the Democratic Socialists of America.

The backdrop to the controversy is a string of recent primary victories by candidates aligned with Mamdani and the Democratic Socialist movement. Several candidates backed by the New York mayor have won Democratic primaries, fueling concerns among centrist Democrats that the party is moving sharply left. Even longtime Democratic strategists and commentators have publicly expressed concern that embracing socialist candidates could create major problems for Democrats heading into future elections.

Trump has made the issue a centerpiece of his messaging.

Just days earlier, the president wrote on Truth Social, “America will never be a Communist Country,” while accusing Democrats of skipping socialism entirely and embracing something even more radical. Trump has repeatedly pointed to Mamdani and his allies as evidence that the Democratic Party’s activist base is increasingly driving policy discussions on immigration, law enforcement, government spending, and economic policy.

The fight over Mamdani has become symbolic of a larger national debate. Republicans have targeted the New York mayor over his support for sanctuary-city policies, his criticism of federal immigration enforcement, and his close ties to Democratic Socialist organizations. Some congressional Republicans have even proposed legislation aimed at restricting immigration benefits for individuals who openly advocate socialist or Marxist ideologies, underscoring how seriously many conservatives view the issue.

You know, every few years the Left rebrands the same old failed ideas and acts as if they just discovered political electricity.

One generation called it socialism. Another called it democratic socialism. Now we’re told it’s “economic justice,” “equity,” or whatever buzzword the consultants focus-grouped this week.

The sales pitch never changes. Bigger government. More control. More dependency. More bureaucrats deciding how you should live. Somehow the answer to every problem is always another government program funded by someone else’s paycheck.

Michael Savage used a flamethrower where most people would use a flashlight. That’s his style and always has been. But beneath the fireworks is a question Democrats seem increasingly uncomfortable answering: Why are so many of their rising stars openly embracing ideas that Americans spent generations rejecting?

The truly entertaining part is watching establishment Democrats panic. They spent years feeding the activist base, assuring everyone that socialism was just another harmless flavor of progressivism. Now the activists are running the show and the party elders are staring at the monster they helped build.

Trump sees the opening. That’s why he keeps hammering the issue.

And if Democrats think voters in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia, Arizona and Michigan are itching to turn America into a giant faculty lounge governed by activist committees and TikTok economists, they may be in for a rude awakening.

The game, as Trump likes to say, is on.
