Dem Senate nominee says ICE will target black Americans — Tom Homan’s response is priceless

by

BS BULLETIN:

  • Border czar Tom Homan is firing back at Florida Democratic Senate nominee Angie Nixon for claiming ICE will racially profile Black Americans.
  • “I’m actually an equal opportunity deporter,” Homan said.
  • Nixon has also called ICE a “weaponized paramilitary force” and Republicans people who are “literally trying to kill us.”

Tom Homan has heard Florida Democratic Senate nominee Angie Nixon’s warning that ICE is coming for Black Americans. His response? “I’m actually an equal opportunity deporter.”

President Trump’s border czar unloaded on Nixon after she claimed immigration agents would racially profile Black Americans because officers wouldn’t be able to distinguish them from immigrants from Jamaica, Nigeria or elsewhere. “We’re Black. They gonna profile us, too,” Nixon said in a podcast interview. “They can’t tell the difference between a Black American that is a descendant of slaves here in this country or someone from Jamaica or Nigeria.”

“They are going to racially profile us and they are going to escalate things and they are going to shoot and kill us,” Nixon said.

Homan appeared on Fox News’ “Saturday in America” and called the accusation “ridiculous.”

“We don’t racially profile,” Homan said. “Everybody we talk to, we have reasonable suspicion of aliens to talk to them. And to arrest them, we need probable cause,” he added. “We don’t arrest people based on the color of their skin.”

“I’m actually an equal opportunity deporter,” Homan said. “I deported people to 180 countries last year, so I don’t care if you’re from Asia, you’re from Europe, or you’re from other countries.”

“If you’re in the country illegally, you’ll be deported, regardless of the color of your skin.”

The Department of Homeland Security has also blasted Nixon’s allegations, calling claims that its officers engage in racial profiling “disgusting, reckless and categorically FALSE.” DHS says immigration status — not race or ethnicity — determines who is targeted for enforcement.

This isn’t Nixon’s only inflammatory accusation about ICE. The Democratic Socialist has described the agency as a “weaponized paramilitary force” designed to “terrorize us,” referred to ICE officers as “THUGS” and “kidnappers,” compared immigration detention centers to “modern day concentration camps,” and likened immigration agents to “modern-day slave catchers.”

She has also called for ICE to be abolished. And when discussing the possibility of bipartisan cooperation in Washington, Nixon offered this assessment of Republicans: “They’re literally trying to kill us.”

Nixon defeated Alexander Vindman by nearly 12 points in Florida’s Democratic Senate primary despite being dramatically outraised. Vindman reportedly assembled a campaign war chest exceeding $16 million while Nixon raised roughly $1 million.

She will now face Republican Sen. Ashley Moody in November for the remainder of the Senate term formerly held by Marco Rubio. That means Florida voters are getting a remarkably clear choice.

One candidate is a former Florida attorney general. The other believes ICE resembles slave catchers, wants the agency abolished, says Republicans are “literally trying to kill” people and predicts immigration agents will shoot Black Americans because they can’t tell a Jamaican from an American.
