Was Milo’s ICE bust revenge against MTG? The story just took a wild turn

by

BS BULLETIN:

  • DHS released Milo Yiannopoulos’ mugshot after ICE arrested the British provocateur at a New Orleans airport, saying he overstayed his visa and blew off an immigration hearing.
  • An immigration judge issued a final removal order July 22, and DHS says Yiannopoulos will remain in ICE custody “pending removal.”
  • Laura Loomer celebrated the bust, claimed she previously reported Milo to federal authorities — then demanded DOJ investigate Marjorie Taylor Greene for allegedly “hiring and harboring” him.

Milo Yiannopoulos spent years championing aggressive immigration enforcement.

Now he gets the deluxe firsthand tour.

The Department of Homeland Security released a decidedly rough-looking mugshot Friday while revealing exactly why ICE came calling for the British-born political provocateur.

“On August 27, ICE arrested Milo Yiannopoulos, an illegal alien from the United Kingdom, at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) in Kenner, Louisiana,” DHS announced on X.

Yiannopoulos didn’t sneak across the border. DHS says he legally entered the United States through New York City on May 14, 2019. Then, according to the department, “He chose to overstay his welcome in violation of our nation’s laws.”

Things apparently got considerably worse from there.

DHS says an immigration judge issued Yiannopoulos a final order of removal on July 22 after he failed to appear for his immigration hearing.

“He will remain in ICE custody pending removal,” the department said.

DHS couldn’t resist twisting the knife. “Being in detention is a choice,” the department declared while promoting the administration’s self-deportation program, which currently offers people in the country illegally $3,000 and a free flight to leave voluntarily. “If not, you will be arrested and deported without a chance to return,” DHS warned.

And then Laura Loomer entered the chat.

Loomer celebrated Yiannopoulos’ detention Friday and claimed she had previously reported him to ICE and the FBI. “I was the first person to report on the fact that Milo was in the US illegally,” Loomer wrote on X, accusing him of inciting violence against President Trump and pointing to his past work for former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.

“I told you all that Milo was an illegal alien.”

Then came the victory lap: “Milo is going to be deported back to the UK,” Loomer wrote. “Today is a great day for America.”

Loomer immediately turned her attention to Greene, her longtime political enemy. “I’m calling on the DOJ @AGToddBlanche to investigate disgraced former Congresswoman Marjorie Traitor Greene for hiring and harboring illegal alien Milo Yiannopoulos,” Loomer wrote.

She further alleged that Greene had secretly worked with Yiannopoulos to “attack and sabotage” Trump and Vice President JD Vance. Those are Loomer’s allegations, not findings by federal authorities.

What is established is that Yiannopoulos worked as an unpaid intern in Greene’s congressional office in 2022. He later worked with Ye, formerly Kanye West, including on the rapper’s failed presidential effort.

Greene wasn’t about to let Loomer’s accusation slide. She called Loomer a “vile liar” and accused her of falsely suggesting that Greene knowingly employed someone who was in the country illegally.

So, to recap:

  • Milo is in ICE custody awaiting removal.
  • DHS published the mugshot.
  • Loomer is taking a victory lap.
  • And somehow Marjorie Taylor Greene got dragged into the immigration brawl.

Just another quiet Friday.
