BS BULLETIN:
- President Donald Trump stunned exactly everyone Saturday by praising someone at CNN: chief data analyst Harry Enten.
- Trump said Enten has “credibility” after he highlighted polling showing Trump remains overwhelmingly dominant among Republican voters.
- There is one catch: Enten routinely delivers terrible polling news for Trump, too — including just Friday.
President Donald Trump has finally found a CNN personality he likes.
Quick, somebody check on Harry Enten’s job security.
Trump singled out CNN’s chief data analyst for extraordinary praise Saturday morning while simultaneously trashing the network that employs him.
“CNN is in a DEATH SPIRAL, and so is MSNOW, the new name for MSDNC — Literally, nobody is watching either Network!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Then came the plot twist.
“The best person on CNN is Pollster Harry Enten,” Trump continued, declaring, “He’s got Credibility (Don’t fire him!).”
What earned a CNN employee that rare Trump seal of approval? Numbers Trump liked.
Enten recently walked viewers through polling showing Trump remains the undisputed center of the Republican universe.
A survey highlighted by Enten found 53% of Republicans named Trump as the Republican president they most admire. Ronald Reagan came in a distant second at 18%, while Abraham Lincoln registered just 8%.
“This is a reality check for you,” Enten told CNN viewers while discussing Trump’s continued grip on the GOP. “Donald Trump is still the sun on which the planets of the GOP revolve around.”
SC serves as a reality check: Trump’s still the sun around which the GOP revolves.
Trump’s endorsees for Senate have won 100% of the time in 2026. He pulled Graham who had little shot pre-endorsement over the finish line.

Trump translated those numbers into slightly more Trumpian mathematics, boasting that Enten had shown him to be “six times more popular than Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, or any other President.”
Just Friday, the CNN numbers guy was delivering some absolutely miserable numbers for the president.
Enten said Trump’s net approval rating had fallen to minus-21 and described him as “stuck on empty,” with little evidence of an imminent turnaround before the midterms. Earlier this month, Enten was even blunter while examining Trump’s claim that voters were angry at Republicans but not at him.
“He’s full of it,” Enten said on CNN.
Trump has praised Enten before, calling him a “good guy” and “honorable” in May while acknowledging that the analyst “gives the good and the bad.”
Apparently that arrangement still works. Trump hates CNN. Trump loves Harry Enten.
And Harry Enten’s continued membership in the Trump Appreciation Society appears to depend heavily on what happens in the next spreadsheet.
MY QUICK TAKE
Somewhere inside CNN headquarters, Harry Enten just became the guy everybody suspiciously stops talking around when he enters the break room.
Trump’s endorsement basically amounted to: Great numbers, great guy, terrible network — please don’t fire him.
For CNN, that may be less of a compliment than a hostage note.
