BS BULLETIN:
- Rep. Ilhan Omar declined to answer Fox News questions Wednesday about a Minneapolis police search of the apartment where her son, Adnan Hirsi, reportedly lives.
- The investigation centers on Hirsi’s roommate, Abdulrahman Abdi, 22, who was arrested on a weapons charge after police discovered a firearm following a traffic stop.
- Hirsi has not been accused of wrongdoing, and neither has Omar. Reports that additional guns and ammunition were recovered from the apartment originated with unnamed law-enforcement sources cited by Alpha News.
Rep. Ilhan Omar isn’t saying much about a police raid at the Minneapolis home her son reportedly shares with a convicted felon who was arrested on a weapons charge.
Fox News Digital approached the Minnesota Democrat on Capitol Hill Wednesday and asked whether she was concerned about the situation involving her son, Adnan Hirsi. Omar did not answer the questions before entering an elevator, according to Fox.

The underlying incident began Aug. 25, when Minneapolis police stopped Hirsi’s roommate, 22-year-old Abdulrahman Abdi. Police said Abdi was cited for driving without a valid license and without proof of insurance.
While his vehicle was being impounded, officers discovered a firearm inside, according to published reports. Police subsequently located Abdi at a Marquette Avenue address and arrested him without incident. Alpha News later reported, citing multiple law-enforcement sources, that police executed a search warrant at the apartment where Omar’s son lives and recovered guns and ammunition.
Fox News independently confirmed Abdi’s arrest and jail booking, but Minneapolis police declined to comment to the network about details of the apartment search.

Abdi’s criminal history adds another wrinkle.
Court records cited by multiple outlets show he has accumulated 10 convictions, most involving misdemeanor offenses. In 2024, however, Abdi was convicted of felony fleeing after authorities said he drove a Jeep Grand Cherokee at speeds reaching 108 mph while fleeing police.
He received one day in jail and two years of supervised probation in that case. Abdi was booked into the Hennepin County Jail following the latest arrest and released the following night, according to jail records cited by Fox and other outlets.
Omar’s refusal to discuss the matter is attracting attention because she has been a prominent supporter of stricter gun laws, while the investigation reportedly involved firearms recovered from a residence occupied by her son.
For now, significant questions remain unanswered — including precisely what officers recovered from the apartment, who owned the weapons, and what prompted the full scope of the search.
Omar isn’t providing any answers of her own.
