Patrick Clancy is ready to speak publicly after the extraordinary murder trial of his former wife ended with a deadlocked jury.

And “60 Minutes” landed the interview.

CBS announced Wednesday that Clancy will sit down exclusively with correspondent Ross Douthat for an interview airing Sunday, Sept. 20.

“Patrick Clancy. This Sunday. Only on 60 Minutes,” the program teased alongside a short video showing Clancy preparing for the interview.

CBS says Clancy will talk about his grief, memories of his three children and what the network describes as “baseless conspiracy theories” that have spread online since the trial.

Those theories have accused Patrick of somehow being involved in the deaths of the couple’s children. Patrick has not been accused by authorities of participating in their killings.

In an exclusive interview, Patrick Clancy told @60minutes that he still leans on his children — Cora, Dawson and Callan, who were killed by their mother, Lindsay Clancy, in 2023 — for support: “Help me, all the time.”

The interview comes weeks after the sensational trial of Lindsay Clancy ended without a verdict. Lindsay admitted killing the couple’s three children — 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan — inside their Duxbury, Massachusetts, home in January 2023. She pleaded not guilty by reason of lack of criminal responsibility, with her defense arguing that she was suffering from postpartum psychosis.

Prosecutors argued that Lindsay understood what she was doing and should be held criminally responsible.

The jury couldn’t agree.

After the Sept. 4 mistrial, jurors revealed that the panel had ultimately been split 11-1, with a lone holdout preventing a unanimous verdict finding Lindsay not criminally responsible by reason of insanity.

Patrick played an emotional role in the trial itself. Jurors heard his frantic 911 call after he returned home from picking up takeout and discovered Lindsay badly injured outside the house before finding their children in the basement.

He also testified about Lindsay’s struggles before the killings and her efforts to obtain treatment.

Now he will tell his story outside a courtroom.

The interview is also a significant get for a “60 Minutes” operation undergoing major changes.

Douthat, a New York Times columnist, is a new correspondent at the program, and the Patrick Clancy interview comes during the second week of the show’s new season.

Mediaite noted that the exclusive follows a difficult season premiere in the ratings despite “60 Minutes” landing an interview with an Air Force member who survived being shot down behind enemy lines during the Iran war.

For Patrick Clancy, however, the interview is about something considerably more personal. CBS says he intends to remember his children — and confront the people who have tried to turn him into part of the crime.

Prosecutors, meanwhile, have not announced whether they will put Lindsay Clancy on trial again. Her next court hearing is scheduled for Sept. 29.
