WATCH: Student goes into actual fits when Black pro-lifer challenges her take on Charlie Kirk

Pro-life activist Savannah Craven asked students at Westchester Community College for their “hottest political take.”
One student told her Charlie Kirk “deserved” to be killed, according to video Craven posted from the encounter.
When Craven challenged the student on whether people should be killed for their political views, the exchange quickly deteriorated.

A campus interview that began with a request for a student’s “hottest political take” went somewhere considerably darker.

Pro-life activist Savannah Craven recently visited Westchester Community College in New York and approached students for interviews. The first one she posted became an extraordinary back-and-forth after the student said Charlie Kirk “deserved it,” referring to his killing.

Craven, who is Black, pushed back and asked the student to explain why someone deserved to die because of his political views. The student argued that Kirk had spread hateful rhetoric and accused him of racism, prompting Craven to challenge her claims and ask for specifics.

From there, the conversation became increasingly heated.

Craven repeatedly returned to the central question: Did the student believe someone should be killed because she disagreed with what he said? The student attempted to distinguish between Kirk’s views and what she characterized as the consequences of spreading hate, while Craven continued pressing her on whether that amounted to justifying murder.

At one point, the student accused Craven of twisting her words and became visibly agitated. The encounter eventually spilled beyond the original interview, with the student apparently seeking assistance from campus security, according to Craven and the video.

Craven posted the footage Friday and said it was the first interview she conducted during the campus visit. She also said there was considerably more footage from the encounter and directed viewers to the longer interview on her YouTube channel.

There was another grim coincidence surrounding the timing of the video.

Westchester Community College had experienced an unrelated stabbing days earlier. News 12 reported that an 18-year-old student was charged with first-degree assault after an altercation in which another defendant allegedly stabbed a victim, causing a collapsed lung and extensive bleeding.

Nothing in the available reporting links that incident to Craven’s interview or the student appearing in her video.

MY QUICK TAKE

Charlie Kirk built his career by walking onto college campuses and arguing with people who thought he was wrong.

That makes this exchange especially hard to miss.

Craven didn’t respond to an ugly opinion by demanding the student be silenced. She asked her questions. And suddenly the conversation itself became the problem.

Rush spent decades saying the answer to speech you hate is more speech. Watching somebody defend the death of a political opponent — and then struggle when another person simply asks her to explain it — is a pretty powerful argument for exactly that.
