HOW MUCH BS CAN YOU HANDLE?

SPARE ME THE BS. I’ve got things to do.
- Susan Dell, 62, became the target of an online pile-on after appearing with her billionaire husband and President Trump at the White House.
- Michael Dell responded by reposting messages defending his wife and thanking the couple for their generosity.
- Eric Trump blasted the attacks as “disgusting” after the Dells pledged $6.25 billion to children’s investment accounts.
MORE TO IT. I’ve got time.
Michael Dell and his wife, Susan, went to the White House to discuss a $6.25 billion commitment to help millions of American children build their financial futures. Instead, Susan became the target of an extraordinary wave of ridicule over her appearance.
Now the billionaire Dell Technologies founder is responding — although not quite the way the internet might have expected.
The controversy erupted after Susan, 62, appeared in the Oval Office alongside President Donald Trump and her husband on October 7. Wearing a red dress, she stood behind the president as the couple discussed their contribution to Trump Accounts, the new investment program for children.
As video spread across social media, commenters began focusing on Susan’s face rather than the announcement. Some compared her appearance with older photographs, questioned whether she had undergone cosmetic procedures and posted memes mocking her looks.
One X user asked, “What is wrong with Susan Dell’s face/eyes?” Others described the footage as looking “not real.” The speculation about cosmetic procedures remains unverified.
But Michael Dell wasn’t about to let the online insults have the last word.
Rather than issuing an angry statement, he reposted messages from people defending Susan and thanking the couple for their charitable contribution.
One message, from an X user identified as Feisty Floridan, read: “My grandson got 250 dollars in his Trump account from Susan Dell. Please leave that woman alone. Thank you Susan.”
Another user, Wingfoot, condemned the attacks while describing how the Dell contribution had benefited his family.
“It’s truly insane how evil and full of themselves people are,” the user wrote.
The commenter explained that $250 had appeared in Trump Accounts for both of his sons, despite the family’s expectation that they might not qualify for additional money.
Michael also shared thank-you letters reportedly sent by children.
“Dear Dell Family, Thank you for the money in my Trump bank account. I’m very glad to be saving for my future,” one letter read.
Another said: “I’m grateful for the money you added to my Trump account, Thank you for helping me save for my future.”
Michael’s response was understated. Eric Trump, however, had considerably more to say.
“People are awful,” the president’s son wrote on X, pointing to the Dells’ $6.25 billion commitment to 25 million children.
“The response? Vicious attacks on her.”
Eric continued: “I’m tired of this nonsense. Very few people have done more for philanthropy. It’s disgusting and it has to stop.”
He concluded with a direct message to Susan: “Thank You!! You are incredible!”
Conservative commentator Mike Cernovich also criticized the online reaction.
“And instead of gratitude, there’s much discussion of a 62-year-old woman’s looks,” he wrote, after referring to the family’s multibillion-dollar contribution.
The Dells originally announced their $6.25 billion pledge in December 2025, committing $250 apiece to 25 million children’s accounts. During their October White House appearance, Michael said 10 million accounts had already been funded.
Susan used the occasion to describe letters the couple had received from families.
“To every child across the country, these accounts are for you. We believe in you,” she said.
The controversy has also produced misleading viral content. Fact-checkers debunked an AI-generated image falsely suggesting that the television show South Park had announced an episode mocking Susan and that she had angrily responded.
There is also a dramatic statement circulating online, attributed to Michael Dell, about being the person who wakes up beside his wife. That quotation has not been independently authenticated. His documented response was to amplify messages defending Susan and highlighting the families benefiting from the couple’s donation.
So while strangers on the internet debated Susan Dell’s appearance, her husband chose to show them something else: letters from children who were considerably more interested in the $250 than in the way their benefactor looked on television.
