THE DAILY BS: HOW MUCH CAN YOU HANDLE?

SPARE ME THE BS (I’ve got things to do).

- Arena officials said the suite and additional security addressed safety concerns Freedom had raised.
LAY IT ON ME (I’ve got time).
Enes Kanter Freedom went to the WNBA Finals wanting something that usually comes with buying a ticket: the seat.
Instead, he received a compulsory upgrade.
The former NBA player left Atlanta’s State Farm Arena Wednesday after refusing a private suite arranged for Game 3 between the Atlanta Dream and Golden State Valkyries.
A video he posted showed the condition of entry being explained: “If you come in you have to agree to go to the suite.”
Freedom wanted to use his purchased seat. Arena officials wanted him in the designated suite. The resulting hospitality dispute ended without much basketball.
According to the arena, Freedom had contacted authorities and basketball officials about his safety. After consultations, the suite was selected as his viewing location, with additional protection.
Freedom described the outcome as being thrown out for supporting women. An arena representative said he rejected the accommodation offered for his protection.
There is a difference between offering a better seat and making it the only seat someone is permitted to occupy. That difference was the argument at the entrance.
Freedom had announced his attendance after Golden State’s Gabby Williams expressed support for a transgender athlete playing in the league.
He previously was ejected from a Chicago game following a heated exchange with Sky guard Natasha Cloud.
This time, the dispute reached its conclusion at the entry gate. Freedom declined the suite and left.
