Failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was roasted online after trying to make a comment about the Oscars about herself.
The former first lady chimed in on the headline-making snub of the film “Barbie” by the 2024 Academy Awards. Despite eight Academy Award nominations, the film’s director Greta Gerwig and actress Margot Robbie did not score awards, sparking furious reactions from fans.
Clinton put in her two cents on social media with a commiserating comment that many saw as a nod to the 2016 presidential election when she was nominated but did not win.
“Greta & Margot, While it can sting to win the box office but not take home the gold, your millions of fans love you. You’re both so much more than Kenough. #HillaryBarbie,” she wrote, with the reference being to a moment in the movie when “Ken” realizes his worth.

Hillary Clinton is trying to make Barbie about herself. The narcissism is astonishing, mildly threatening. https://t.co/Q2RezQtqAA

No matter how you slice it, the cringe meter could not even contain this one, as X users reacted:
I felt like, at first, I was watching a nursing home video when I clicked on it, but then I thought it was a bad Saturday Night Live parody 😅

I didn’t realize she was so light on her feet. Must come from always staying one step ahead of her many enemies.
