President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party should be “very concerned” about the slipping support of black voters ahead of the November presidential election, according to radio host James Golden.
“For black voters, as with all Americans, the real story is not what Joe Biden has done for you but what he’s done to you,” the longtime Rush Limbaugh producer known also as Bo Snerdley told NewsNation’s Adrienne Bankert.
Bankert set up the segment with a look at Biden’s declining poll numbers among black voters and pointed out that immigration is one of the top issues causing the exodus from the party.
Golden unloaded a laundry list of Biden’s failures.
“Immigration: Ten million, ten million illegal immigrants in this country since Joe Biden took office. Disgraceful,” he emphasized.
“Inflation: Out of control,” he continued. “No job growth except really in government sectors.”
“Then you look at the crime that’s also affecting voters in these cities where Democrat policies have unleashed criminals to terrorize citizens,” Golden noted before condemning Biden’s recent commencement address at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Ga.
Biden’s “claim that half the country does not want black kids to have a future is nothing short of disgraceful,” he said, adding that the speech was “race-baiting.”
During the graduation ceremony at the HBCU, Biden brought up George Floyd and “democracy” in a speech that was quickly criticized.
“It’s natural to wonder if the ‘democracy’ you hear about actually works for you. What is democracy? That Black men are being killed in the street,” Biden said.”What is democracy? The trail of broken promises still leaves Black communities behind. What is democracy? You have to be ten times better than anyone else to get a fair shot. Most of all, what does it mean? As you’ve heard before, to be a Black man who loves his country even if it doesn’t love him back in equal measure.”
Golden pointed to Biden’s past stance and friendship with segregationists, asking why he brings up George Floyd while failing to address his own racist past as a Democrat senator.
“So there’s a history here, and for this race-baiting to continue from Joe Biden is pandering,” he said, adding that the conversation that needs to be happening is actually one that calls the president out for claiming that half the country does not want to see black students go on to achieve success.
“This hate speech emanating from the White House against Republicans needs to stop,” he concluded.
