Vice President Kamala Harris seems to have reinforced how little she has to offer during her town hall with Oprah Winfrey.
The Democratic presidential nominee was forced to go off script, with no teleprompter or pre-written speech, in the interview with Winfrey in Michigan, delivering her signature word salads and essentially giving empty responses while she evaded actual answers to questions.
Celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Meryl Streep and Chris Rock watched the Unite for America event remotely as the 90-minute live-streamed interview covering topics like abortion rights, immigration and gun violence. Harris also took questions from the audience, though her responses again left much to be desired.
Harris told Winfrey that Americans are an “optimistic people” in one exchange highlighted by the Trump War Room account on X.
“Americans, by character, are people who have dreams and ambitions and aspirations. We believe in what is possible. We believe in what can be, and we believe in fighting for that,” she said.

Missouri Senator Eric Schmitt called out the remarks on X, writing, ” Kamala’s Excellent Adventure continues.”
“That’s how we came into being because the people before us understood that one of the greatest expressions for the love of our country—one of the greatest expressions of patriotism—is to fight for the ideals of who we are, which includes freedom to make decisions about your own body; freedom to be safe from gun violence; freedom to have access to the ballot box; freedom to be who you are and just be, to love who you love openly and with pride; freedom to just be,” Harris said.
Kamala’s Excellent Adventure continues.
An epic word salad. The media truly should be ashamed of itself at this point. She’s running for President of the United States of America and all we get are scripted comments or Non-sequiturs with Oprah pic.twitter.com/chL19TrJ22

Schmitt mocked the VP’s “epic word salad.”
“The media truly should be ashamed of itself at this point. She’s running for President of the United States of America and all we get are scripted comments or Non-sequiturs with Oprah,” he added.
“This might be the worst world salad ever in the political career of Kamala Harris,” Paul A. Szypula told his 236,000 X followers.”The whole time you could feel Oprah wanted her to stop. The audience looks like they’re realizing how gone Kamala is. Her campaign won’t let her do one of these again.”
Twin Talk’s Nancy Sidley ripped into Harris for ” just trying to win an election,” writing on X that the event “really solidifies the fact that there isn’t much to her,” while also calling out Winfrey.
I’m so upset & disappointed with Kamala. This really solidifies the fact that there isn’t much to her & she’s just trying to win an election. Teaming with Oprah is a deal breaker for me. Take away the fact that Oprah parties with convicted or about to be convicted S offenders,… pic.twitter.com/uveHfBDhje

Social media users deluged X with comments after the word-salad queen’s performance.
An absolute train wreck. And Oprah sits there and nods like a robot. Don’t forget, Harris remains a heartbeat away from the presidency. The establishment on which we relied to vet and present candidates has collapsed & failed. There must be a reckoning on November 5th. https://t.co/CpnbjWBHBf

I am amazed at the people in the audience looking at her like she is saying something so profound.
Again, she did not say anything! 😂

I don’t even know if she said a lie in here.
It just didn’t make much sense.

Dreams.
Ambitions.
Aspirations.
Can she not memorize a few more things between interviews? 😂— 🇺🇸 ɱεɠα♡ҡεℓℓƶ♡007 (@MegaKellz007) September 20, 2024
I still don’t know what exactly is the topic of those sentences.

Verbal diarrhoea of empty metaphors and clichéd slogans.

I’m sure that her fans and “Trump Bad” people probably ate it up as thought it was the most profound thing ever said.
She literally sounds stoned on old school weed.
