Tim Walz’s teacher wife gives cringe ‘assignment,’ treats voters like toddlers

by

Gov. Tim Walz’s wife Gwen ignited fiery criticism after she assigned Americans homework and spoke to them like children.

In a video shared by the campaign for Vice President Kamala Harris on X, the wife of the Democrat’s running mate announced she had an “assignment” for voters before sharing details in what many saw as a patronizing voice.

“Hey, Kamala HQ. I’m Gwen Walls, and I have been an educator for a really long time, I’m here with an assignment for you today. It’s due on November fifth,” she said in the video, which has garnered over 1.5 million views since being posted on Sunday by the rapid response page of Harris’ presidential campaign.

“Now, I’m gonna put my teacher glasses on because this is really serious, like a final and there’s no late work,” Walz continued.

“I need you to take yourself and three friends to the ballot box and make your voice heard. You have to vote,” the Minnesota governor’s wife added.” I’m gonna repeat that again. You and three of your friends have to make your voices heard by voting.”

“If you need more information, just go to iwillvote.com,” Walz concluded. “And remember, no late work.”

The longtime educator got about the same reaction from social media users as she likely did when assigning homework in class, just dialed up a few notches.
