Radio host Charlamagne Tha God on Monday called Caitlyn Jenner a “rich white male” while criticizing the former Olympian for supporting President-elect Donald Trump.
Jenner posted a photo on X Wednesday with Trump and billionaire Elon Musk, expressing support and offering to serve them. Charlamagne, during an episode of “The Breakfast Club,” awarded Jenner “Donkey of the Day,” for backing Trump and Musk despite being transgender.

“Caitlyn Jenner, as a transgender, you just look like a devil damn fool glazing Trump and Elon the way you are after hearing stuff like that,” Charlamagne said after playing audio of Trump discussing his policy agenda on transgender issues, which includes the government only recognizing two genders that are assigned at birth. “Now, I don’t have a problem choosing issues over identity, but not if one of the issues is somebody trying to erase the existence of my identity altogether … How could you, Caitlyn, support someone that is absolutely trying to erase your existence? I’m just asking, okay?”
“What I don’t like is when someone can reap the benefits of a community but not stand up for the rights of that community. Caitlyn doesn’t want to be an advocate for the trans community, but you damn sure took advantage of all the privileges that came with being trans. Glamour Magazine made Caitlyn ‘Woman of the Year,’ and she hadn’t been identifying as a woman for a whole 365 days,” Charlamagne added. “Yet they called her a trans champion … if you are going to be labeled a trans champion, then you have to be ready to go to the mat for them at all times. You cannot be in support of an administration that is rolling back your rights and trying to eliminate your existence.”
Jenner denied being “a trans advocate” in another Wednesday X post.
“I don’t like people who can hokey pokey with their gender identity. Caitlyn wants to put his right foot in, take his right foot out, put his left foot in, take her left foot out, pee at a urinary stall, then shake it all about,” Charlamagne said. “But that is not how any of this should work. But you know what? At the end of the day, Caitlyn, you can change the top layer, but you was who you was before you got here, and what you are, is a rich white male. And that’s why I keep saying ‘him’ when I shouldn’t be, but I can’t stop seeing Caitlyn as a rich white male, and that identity — pun intended — trumps all.”
Co-host DJ Envy said Jenner is a “rich white woman” but Charlamagne pushed back, saying that Jenner was “a rich white man and he acts like one.”
Jenner in April 2022 criticized the National College Athletic Association (NCAA) for enabling transgender athlete Lia Thomas to compete against female swimmers in a New York Post opinion column.
“We must protect women’s sports. At all costs,” Jenner wrote. “What Lia has done, beating biological women to win a Division I national championship, is anathema to what sports represents and the spirit of competition.”
