Trump makes early demand of any GOP Senator seeking coveted leadership roll, Musk agrees

With a sweeping election victory giving him a veritable mandate from the American people, President-elect Donald Trump is wasting no time getting a new administration in place.

In a statement on Sunday. Trump informed Republican senators vying to be the next majority leader to back his recess appointments and get potential candidates approved in a “timely manner.”

“Any Republican Senator seeking the coveted LEADERSHIP position in the United States Senate must agree to Recess Appointments (in the Senate!), without which we will not be able to get people confirmed in a timely manner. Sometimes the votes can take two years, or more,” Trump wrote in a message posted to social media.

“This is what they did four years ago, and we cannot let it happen again. We need positions filled IMMEDIATELY! Additionally, no Judges should be approved during this period of time because the Democrats are looking to ram through their Judges as the Republicans fight over Leadership,” he added. “THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. THANK YOU!”

Tesla/SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, who is rumored to be named head of a new “‘Department of Government Efficiency,” agreed with Trump’s statement.

The message from the incoming 47th president was met with support from Republican Senators Senators John Thune, John Cornyn and Rick Scott, all reportedly in the running to replace outgoing Sen. Mitch McConnell who is stepping down from his leadership role.

Florida Sen. Scott posted in response, “100% agree. I will do whatever it takes to get your nominations through as quickly as possible.”

“It is unacceptable for Senate Ds to blockade President Trump’s cabinet appointments,” Cornyn of Texas wrote.

“I’ve spent eight months carefully listening to my colleagues about their vision for the next chapter of the Senate Republican Conference, especially as we hit the ground running with President Trump,” Thune told Fox News Digital in a statement.

“One thing is clear: We must act quickly and decisively to get the president’s cabinet and other nominees in place as soon as possible to start delivering on the mandate we’ve been sent to execute, and all options are on the table to make that happen, including recess appointments. We cannot let Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats block the will of the American people,” the South Dakota senator added.

Trump has not made any endorsement in the battle for the top GOP spot and the winner will be decided by secret ballot on Nov. 13.

  1. ANY Republican who does not vigorously support Trump’s policies and agenda should NOT have any committee appointments!

I am SICK of RINOs standing in the way of what WE, THE PEOPLE want!
