Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y. caught the attention of social media over a subtle but significant change on her X account.

The Democrat socialist and “Squad” member evidently removed the pronouns she used to tout in her X account bio, as many observant users on the platform noticed.

In addition to removing the pronouns “she/her” in her bio, AOC’s congressional description seemed changed.

Many wondered why her virtue-signaling seemed to have shifted, with many crediting the landslide election victory by President-elect Donald Trump. Many voters in Ocasio-Cortez’s New York district voted for the Republican nominee.

“We’re winning and its glorious,” Gaines wrote in another post.

“They’ll pretend they never embraced (or even celebrated) the insanity,” Gaines responded to a post that noted Ocasio-Cortez removed the pronouns from her bio before May. “Don’t forget who the compliant, virtue-signaling sheep were.”

There were many theories as to why the pronouns were no longer displayed by Ocasio-Cortez, ranging from the “death of wokeness,” to her reacting to Hispanic voters who voted for Trump and some even noted her pregnancy as a reason.

If you’re wondering why AOC ditched her pronouns in her bio, it might have something to do with the massive exodus from the Democrat Party by Hispanic voters.

Ocasio-Cortez co-sponsored the Equality Act, “which was proposed in 2019 and has had revisions that'”would force public schools to allow biologically male athletes who identify as transgender on girls’ sports teams,'” according to Fox News.

Ocasio-Cortez joined Democrats in March 2023 to advocate for a resolution “recognizing that it is the duty of the Federal Government to develop and implement a Transgender Bill of Rights.”
