Billionaire Elon Musk took social media by surprise when he reached out to meet with an unexpected rival.
In a short message on X, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO told the son of leftist billionaire George Soros he would like to meet up and hear his views. Alexander Soros replied that he’d be “open” to the idea and social media users reacted with many warning Musk about meeting with “the devil.”
“Don’t meet with the devil!” one X user wrote after the exchange that began with a post by journalist John Nichols who commented about how neither Kamala Harris nor Donald Trump won the majority of votes in the 2024 presidential election.
“Trump has steadily ticked down as votes are counted. Harris has ticked up,” Nichols wrote Tuesday.
“Media outlets claimed Trump won by a “landslide.” In fact, his margin over Harris is down to less than 1.7 points—one of the smaller margins in the history of presidential elections. That margin is likely to shrink by the time all votes are counted,” he added.
Alexander Soros reacted on X, emphasizing that Trump did not, in fact. have a “mandate” from voters and that the race was actually much closer than perceived.
“It is not a powerful mandate, and the numbers are important.” he wrote, quoting Nichols and adding, “This was a close election. Not a surprise!”
It is not a powerful mandate, and the numbers are important “they provide Democrats and progressives, however, is an argument against despair and surrender”. This was a close election. Not a surprise! https://t.co/DWgGy4QEDa

While the post by the 39-year-old sparked debate on social media, things really heated up when X owner Musk chimed in, telling the younger Soros, “I would be curious to meet and understand your goals better.”
Perhaps raising more eyebrows – and alarms – was the response from the son of the progressive billionaire who took over his Open Society Foundations.
“I often learn most from people whose views are different than my own. Open to meeting,” Soros replied.
I often learn most from people whose views are different than my own. Open to meeting.

Just don’t leave your water bottle unguarded.

You can’t understand his goals unless he actually tells you why he’s doing it. And he won’t because it ends with his group having global power.

No reason to meet him.
Not at all.— justVasso (@justVasso) November 19, 2024
Some thought the meeting of the billionaires would be a good thing.
Oh man wouldn’t this be a treat.

Very noble of you Elon.
I think this is a good suggestion Alexander, one you should certainly consider.Open and transparent dialogue is how we, as a species will progress for the greater good.

However, many delivered a resounding “no” to the idea of Musk meeting with Soros.
George would be a bridge too far. It wouldn’t be advisable to cut off a potential ally for the sins of his father. That said, the fruit do not often stray from the shade of that tree without being carried.

His goal is the destruction of western civilization. That’s what his father has been funding for decades. He is continuing that agenda.

Good luck.
He’s been indoctrinated his entire life and his wealth shields him from the effects of the policies for which he advocates.

Actions speak louder than words. The candidates they back and what they’ve done to promote crime in American cities says it all.
