President Joe Biden is making his last days in office memorable ones but not leaving a great impression as he exits.
The “oldest president” exuded bitterness at a White House event Sunday as he attacked his successor, President-elect Donald Trump as a “threat” to democracy. This coming days after he declared that the former and future president needs to learn about “decency.”
Biden also appeared to snap at reporters while boasting about his political career moments after signing the Social Security Fairness Act.
“Is the transition going smoothly?” one reporter asked.
“So far, I think. There’s no problem with us, Biden responded. “But we’ve made ourselves available. Spent a couple hours with them. Told them to find out whatever he needs. We got to get back to establishing basic democratic norms.”
“Do you believe he’s a threat to democracy?” a reporter questioned.
“I think what he did was a genuine threat to democracy,” Biden responded. “I’m hopeful that we’ll be on that.”
“And the idea we’re going to change a constitutional birthright, if you’re born in a country, you can’t be, you’re not a citizen. What’s going on buddy? I think it’s awful,” he said, according to Reuters.
Biden also seemed to lose his cool with reporters at one point.
“I might be the oldest president, but I know more world leaders than any one of you have ever met in your whole goddamn life!” he snapped.
Last week, the president took a jab at Trump during remarks on the death of President Jimmy Carter.
The outgoing president was asked what his successor should take away from the legacy of the nation’s 39th president, Biden replied, “Decency.”
“Decency, decency, decency. … Can you imagine Jimmy Carter walking by someone who needed something and just keep walking? Can you imagine Jimmy Carter referring to someone by the way they look or the way they talk?” he said.
Social media users weighed in on Biden’s rebukes from Sunday’s event.
“The most civil, decent, and devoutly Catholic president we’ve ever had,” CNN conservative commentator Scott Jennings wrote on X.
What a bitter person.

That’s like a NBA referee saying he “knows” more NBA players than you’ve met in your whole life. And? So? Is that supposed to impress everyone? It’s part of your job, which you suck at!

Too bad there wasn’t any wisdom that went with that age.

So that’s the decency he always talks about!

That’s an angry, frustrated, bitter man. Who can’t stand being questioned about anything.
