White House policy says no responses will be made to reporters with pronouns in their email

by

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced that the Trump administration will not engage with reporters who include their preferred pronouns in their email signatures.

The policy has raised questions from the woke about press freedom and the administration’s stance on gender identity. Leavitt puts it simply; she believes that such reporters cannot be trusted to report honestly.

The White House response to emails with pronouns in signatures is as follows, “As a matter of policy, we do not respond to reporters with pronouns in their bios.”

DOGE’s Katie Miller has a similar return message, according to the Post Millennial, “As a matter of policy, I don’t respond to people who use pronouns in their signatures as it shows they ignore scientific realities and therefore ignore facts.”

The media’s response to this definitive change has been predictable. Journalists have expressed disbelief and hypocrisy.

The New York Times described the administration’s stance as “baffling,” saying that it undermines the principles of transparency and accountability in government communications. A spokesperson for the Times stated that avoiding questions based on email signature formatting is concerning and counterproductive to a free press.

Too bad the same attention wasn’t given to that “freedom” when Joe Biden was president.

Under Biden, preferred pronouns were not optional, The Post Millennial reminds readers,” The Department of Health and Human Services issued a directive saying, ‘All employees should be addressed [by] the names and pronouns they use to describe themselves.'”

The Office of Personnel Management suggested that it would be harassment to not use preferred pronouns. “All applicants and employees should be addressed by the names and pronouns they use to describe themselves. Using correct names and pronouns helps foster workplaces free of discrimination and harassment.”
