LAY IT ON ME (I’ve got time).
Some job seekers arrive with a résumé. Others bring a cover letter.
And then there’s the Georgia man who allegedly showed up to inquire about construction work without wearing a single article of clothing.
Upson County deputies say a highway traffic-control worker got an unexpected visitor Tuesday afternoon along Yatesville Highway.
A motorist pulled up in a dark gray Toyota Scion and called the worker over to ask about the utility construction taking place nearby.
At first, the worker thought the man was merely shirtless. Then she got closer. According to investigators, the stranger was completely naked.
That didn’t stop him from pursuing a potential career change.
The man allegedly asked about getting a job with the construction company, explaining that he was “tired of warehouse work.” Well, that is one way to demonstrate you’re ready for a fresh start.

The worker reported the encounter to deputies, who began searching for the driver. The description included a buzz haircut, thick-lens glasses, and a gray Toyota Scion hatchback.
Investigators also noted a memorable identifying detail: The license plate reportedly displayed the number 1776. Apparently, even the getaway car had a patriotic theme.
According to the original report, the worker told investigators the man resembled Bobby Hill from the animated television series “King of the Hill.”
On Friday, the sheriff’s office announced that a citizen had identified the suspect after authorities shared information about the encounter.
Deputies arrested Dillon Chance Watson, 29, of Roberta, Georgia, and charged him with public indecency. He was booked into the Upson County Jail with a reported $1,000 bond.
There’s no indication that the construction company offered him a position. Though it’s probably safe to assume its employee handbook covers appropriate work attire.
