Democrat leadership is reportedly furious with DNC co-vice chair David Hogg and his plan to support primary challenges against incumbents.
Democratic National Committee Chair Ken Martin will reportedly be speaking with members in a Thursday call about new rules in response to Hogg’s plan to shake up Democratic primaries.
A report this week from NOTUS noted that “anger at the activist-turned-Democratic leader is intensifying among party officials.”

“These Democratic critics say their fury at Hogg has grown amid what they see as his ill-conceived and insufficient efforts to make amends for his planned primary campaign — a campaign that, they say, threatens the DNC’s neutrality and its capacity to fight back against President Donald Trump,” the report stated.
“Some Democrats have even said the DNC should consider changing its rules to force Hogg to either abandon the campaign or resign as vice chair,” NOTUS continued. “The tension is expected to spill over during a regularly scheduled Thursday call for DNC members — a meeting that, some Democratic officials suggest, might turn into a forum for airing grievances about Hogg’s anti-incumbent pledge.”

A senior DNC official noted that Martin will be suggesting a plan to mandate that all DNC officers must stay neutral in all primaries, not just presidential races, as the policy currently applies.
“We’ve got a lot of f**king problems right now,” one senior Democratic official said, according to NOTUS.. “And now an elected office of the DNC is creating new ones. And at the end of the day, DNC leadership should be building trust, not threatening or eroding it.”
The anonymous official said Hogg’s campaign is a “middle finger” to those “who helped rebuild trust in the DNC following the controversial 2016 Democratic presidential primary.”
“I don’t think he’s yet realized how few supporters he has and how painful it’s going to be for him,” the official said.
Democratic strategist James Carville called Hogg a “contemptible twerp” and proposed the DNC should sue him.
Social media users weighed in on the latest Democrat infighting and the buyer’s remorse over Hogg.
Seriously what were they thinking when they appointed him.

Beyond belief that they brought this guy in. Big mistake for the party. If I were a megadonor, I’d be out.
