An eyebrow-raising scene from a musical satire about former President Obama’s first term in office has gone viral.
An audience member at a performance of “44: The Musical” captured a scene in which the president and first lady sing about making “White House love.” The video was shared on TikTok, where social media users were shocked by the scene featuring Michelle Obama, played by Broadway star and recording artist Shanice, who wore a long white robe.
TJ Wilkins, a former contestant on The Voice, played Barack Obama, singing along in the cringey scene that featured actor Chad Doreck, depicting Joe Biden, interrupting the couple, seeming to want to join in before being sent on his way.
“The show is a satirical retelling of Obama’s first term in office, told through Joe Biden’s eyes,” Daily Mail explained.”The show certainly strays from historical accuracy with outlandish scenes featuring a rap battle between Ted Cruz and Mitch McConnell, a strip tease starring Sarah Palin, and Joe Biden ripping his shirt off to reveal his arms.”
Eli Bauman, who served as a campaign organizer for Obama’s first presidential campaign, is the writer, director, composer, and producer of the musical, which debuted in 2022.
“Barack Obama’s election changed history,” the show’s website claims. “And as we can clearly see, it also ended racism forever! But 44 – The OBAMA MUSICAL is the story of Obama you won’t read about in history books…because history books are now banned in most states. But also because 44 is the story of Obama as Joe Biden kinda sorta remembers it…”

The TikTok video of the bedroom scene garnered thousands of views and comments.
“Idk why but I blame Tyler Perry,” wrote one user, and another chimed in, “Y’all laughing but this is technically the same thing as hamilton.”
“Yea… The Obamas are def suing,” read one comment, while another user summed up, “This is a lot to process.”
