Donald Trump Jr.’s GrabAGun store is online push to create the ‘Amazon of guns’

by

Donald Trump Jr. is looking to restore the buying power and accessibility of firearms purchases for customers who lost many marketplace options over the years.

In a venture with partners that he calls GrabAGun, President Donald Trump’s eldest son is launching an online store that has been dubbed the “Amazon of guns.” While he continues to help the family run the Trump Organization, Trump Jr. is launching an online firearm store in a merger with a special purpose acquisition company.

Trump joined that company’s chief, the conservative investor Omeed Malik, during an appearance on CNBC, where he explained the venture.

“There’s a lot of people that are buying guns that wouldn’t have been the typical guys that were buying guns like I’ve been doing for decades,” Trump said on Tuesday’s broadcast.

“There’s women coming into the marketplace for self-defense. There’s a younger generation that’s shifting to the conservative side that understands the need to exercise their Second Amendment, and wants to do that,” he continued. “This is giving them an opportunity with GrabAGun to shop the way they shop virtually everything else.”

Trump explained that background checks and other applicable laws are still in place, and customers would have to pick up their purchases at an authorized and licensed retailer. Accessories and other products will be shipped directly to a customer’s home while the firearms will be sent to a licensed dealer.

“Walmart used to be the largest retailer of firearms in America. Corporate policies change, you can no longer have that access. You couldn’t go to your local Walmart and buy these things anymore. So this is covering that void,” he said.

“But again, through that you are actually going to that shop, you can learn about the training that they offer, which we encourage. So I definitely encourage everyone to get those kinds of trainings. I think it should be a package,” he added.

Malik contended that customers will be able to “buy guns and ammunition online just like you can on Amazon because we have a Second Amendment right.”

GrabAGun CEO Marc Nemat is also part of the venture, and attorney Colion Noir will reportedly be joining Trump on the company’s board when it goes pubic.

  1. Hmmm. I find this article confusing. I bought my first gun from Grabagun in 2021 and there are plenty of other online gun sellers. How is this new or different?
