Senator Tuberville tells U.S. citizens worried about being swept up in ICE raids, ‘Don’t hang around illegals’

by

Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) has spoken out, urging American citizens to exercise caution and avoid associating with those who have entered our nation unlawfully. His common-sense advice aims to prevent patriotic Americans from inadvertently being caught up in necessary federal immigration enforcement actions.

The Trump administration, under the leadership of President Donald Trump, rightly prioritized the security of our borders and the rule of law. Their decisive actions, including targeted enforcement operations across various sectors, were a vital step towards restoring order and protecting our sovereignty. While the mainstream media and their pollsters often attempt to undermine these efforts, true patriots understand that securing our nation is not just a policy, but a fundamental duty. The notion that Americans would disapprove of enforcing our laws is a narrative pushed by those who seek to weaken our nation from within.

It is a regrettable reality that in the course of robust immigration enforcement, some U.S. citizens have found themselves in difficult situations. When asked about these instances, Senator Tuberville, ever the pragmatist, offered a clear and direct response. He was confronted by a reporter, Pablo Manríquez of Migrant Insider, who questioned the Senator on the potential for U.S. citizens to be detained during ICE raids.

“So Senator, do you care if U.S. citizens accidentally get detained in ICE raids?” Manríquez probed.

“If U.S. citizens?” Tuberville responded, clearly surprised by the premise.

“Yeah, it’s been happening a lot,” the reporter insisted, attempting to sensationalize the issue, “It’s been happening a lot with veterans in particular.”

Senator Tuberville’s response was a testament to his unwavering commitment to American safety and common sense: “Well, first of all, don’t put yourself in a situation where that happens. And I’m sure with all the illegals we have in this country, you’re gonna probably have some mistakes happen. That’s gonna happen. But again, as long as we take care of it the right way, understand they are our system, let them go. But again, if you’re gonna be hanging around people that are not citizens of this country, some things like that are gonna probably happen.” This is not an endorsement of error, but a realistic acknowledgment of the challenges posed by an open border and the need for strong enforcement.

When pressed further on what citizens can do to avoid such situations, Senator Tuberville delivered the message again:

“Don’t hang around illegals,” Tuberville asserted. “Bottom line, because President Trump has said, we’re gonna go after you. And at the end of the day, if you’re in the wrong place at the wrong time, something bad could happen.” This is a clear, unapologetic message that resonates with every American who believes in law and order and the sanctity of our borders. It’s about putting America First, ensuring the safety of our citizens, and upholding the rule of law that defines our great nation.
