Woke actor Jeff Daniels, known for his Hollywood roles but perhaps less for his economic insights, recently unleashed a tirade, openly wishing financial ruin upon patriotic Americans who dared to vote for President Donald Trump. This isn’t just a gaffe; it’s a window into the elitist mindset that despises the common man.
Speaking on Nicolle Wallace’s podcast ‘The Best People,’ Daniels bizarrely claimed that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s judicial appointments decades ago were a pre-emptive strike against a ‘new America that is diverse and treats everyone with equality and respect and dignity, you know, kind of like Jesus did.’ This ‘new America’ sounds suspiciously like the woke agenda that’s tearing our nation apart, not the common-sense values Americans cherish.
He continued his condescending rant, asserting, ‘And Mitch and company could see it coming. They were going to be the minority, so they just started and then here we are, and now you got it, and now you’re losing money.’ The sheer arrogance of a Hollywood millionaire lecturing working-class Americans about their finances is truly astounding.
Daniels doubled down on his malice, stating, ‘I hope you’re losing tons of money, those of you who thought this would be OK.’ He then mockingly challenged, ‘My question is, what are you guys going to do about it?’ Perhaps, Mr. Daniels, we’ll do what we always do: work harder, pray more, and vote for leaders who actually care about our prosperity, not our poverty.
Wallace, ever the establishment voice, then pivoted to criticize President Trump’s America First tariffs, despite acknowledging that Trump secured Michigan – a state that clearly benefited from his policies.
Wallace lamented, ‘I mean, Michigan voted for Trump this time again. I mean, the tariffs are going to hurt your neighbors, they’re going to hurt.’ This tired talking point ignores how Trump’s tariffs protected American industries and jobs from unfair foreign competition, a stark contrast to the globalist policies that have decimated our manufacturing base.
Daniels, predictably, echoed this anti-tariff sentiment, claiming these protective measures would be Trump’s undoing. Clearly, he’s missed the memo on how ‘Bidenflation’ and open borders are actually hurting American families, not policies designed to put America First.
He elaborated, ‘Which I think, at the end of the day, that’s what’s going to do it. ‘Wait a minute, the grocery bill is what? $180 more? I can’t get that car that we have to have unless I pay another $8,000. What? Who do I blame for that? Who do I see about that?’ One person.’ The irony is palpable: Americans are asking these questions today, but they’re blaming the past administration’s reckless spending and disastrous energy policies, not Trump’s tariffs. The ‘one person’ they’re looking at isn’t Trump.
Wallace then launched into a lecture about a supposed loss of ‘decency’ in the pursuit of affordable goods.
She pontificated, ‘And I feel like some of the conversations we’ve had over the last 5-6 years were about this tug, not between right and left, but between decency and maybe if it’s about the cost of things, decency became a luxury. There’s something about decency being the sort of collateral damage, the thing we lose over wanting cheaper eggs.’ This is the typical liberal deflection: when their policies fail, they blame the American people for wanting basic necessities at a reasonable price. It’s not about ‘decency,’ it’s about economic reality.
Wallace, seemingly oblivious to the struggles of everyday Americans, then asked Daniels, ‘Do you think it was ever really about cheaper eggs?’
Daniels, perhaps momentarily tethered to reality, conceded, ‘Well, I think at the end of the day it would be about just the price of eggs, did it go up or down, because that’s what he told me he was going to lower the price of eggs or my grocery bill.’ Indeed, Mr. Daniels, for most Americans, kitchen table issues matter far more than Hollywood virtue signaling.
He then resorted to childish insults, labeling President Trump a ‘snake oil salesman’ – a projection, perhaps, from someone who sells fiction for a living.
In another head-scratching moment, Daniels expressed his deep sorrow over former Vice President Kamala Harris’s 2024 election loss, astonishingly claiming she would have governed with the wisdom of Abraham Lincoln. The historical illiteracy is breathtaking.
He told Wallace on her podcast, ‘I still think about Kamala, and how I think she would have been a good choice. I don’t care what they say, because she would have done what Lincoln did.’ The idea that a progressive politician, who has consistently pushed divisive identity politics, would emulate the unifier Lincoln is a fantasy only a Hollywood elite could conjure.
Daniels even suggested that RINO Liz Cheney would have been her Secretary of State.
Wallace, ever eager to reinforce the liberal narrative, interjected with ‘Team of Rivals,’ referencing the book about Lincoln’s cabinet choices.
Daniels enthusiastically agreed, ‘Team of Rivals. That’s what Lincoln did, surrounded himself with the people who would disagree with him, not the people who would, you know, take a knee and go, ‘Yeah, more tariffs, sir, more.’’ The irony of Daniels, a proponent of the ‘woke’ agenda, criticizing ‘taking a knee’ is not lost on those who understand the current cultural landscape. And again, with the tariffs – a broken record from the anti-America First crowd.
It’s no surprise that Harris’s campaign shamelessly paraded Liz Cheney, a turncoat Republican and one of President Donald Trump’s most vocal critics, on the 2024 campaign trail. Cheney, who betrayed her constituents by joining the partisan Jan. 6 witch hunt, was rightly rejected by Wyoming voters. Harris’s empty promise to appoint a Republican to her cabinet was clearly a desperate attempt to feign bipartisanship.
Daniels is set to play President Ronald Reagan in ‘Reykjavík,’ a role that will undoubtedly challenge his anti-conservative worldview. He recently portrayed disgraced former FBI Director James Comey in Showtime’s ‘The Comey Rule.’

Daniel’s, an actor? Who knew?
Well, we are not f***tard. In fact you probably have more to lose than us, lol.
Now go cry in your beer, Dumb, or were you Dumber?
They actually think that we care about their opinions!
Why on Earth, would anyone care what Jeff Daniel’s has to say?
Jeff who?
Just another ticked off movie star that has money. Such immaturity and fear mongering on the left is mind boggling! Cry babies!
Who knew that Daniels wasn’t acting in the movie “Dumb and Dumber”.
Me thinks Mr. Daniels needs to up his prescription of Retardium. And also, someone should check the seal on his Depends. Smells like things are getting a little ripe south of the Beltline. Other than that, I hope he has pleasant day.
Dumb, and dumber…
You just lost half of whatever audience you had
Actually, we will be making a lot of money and simpletons like this guy will be left in the dust.
He wants karma based on who we voted for? In his case, that would be him wishing his own family to be brutalized by violent illegal aliens.
Careful what you vote for, Jeff.
Yep another dumb liberal that lives just west of me on a farm. Jeff…please look in the mirror. Trump has done a lot to save America. Yes, we all understand he is not perfect, but if you can do better then him, why don’t you place your hat in the ring and run in 2028. I doubt if toy will get majority votes. Sorry Jeff, but Trump puts in many hours at the White House. Biden has put in many hours sleeping on his beach chair, while other illegals from other countries are crossing our borders and killing people.
Really Jeff, please think about what you said. Hey, why don’t you and I meet at Metzger’s German Restaurant west of Ann Arbor. Maybe we can have a decent conversation about what is going on and I am buying dinner. OK?
He speaks of civility as if he has any at all. Why do these idiots believe that insulting at least half the population will be of any benefit to themselves. The man should realize that we go to movies and we aren’t likely to pay to see someone who insults us and wishes the worst for us because he is butthurt about an election.
How can he play Reagan when he obviously doesn’t understand him or conservatism. I would imagine that he will insult the role.
I used to really like Jeff Daniel’s. He moved his family to the Midwest to escape the values of Hollywood! What a good guy! But he brought the values of Hollywood with him. Jerk!
This is one of the BIG problems with the Democrat Party – the HATE!!! They hate, literally, anyone who disagrees with them!! There is no compromise; you are either with them or against them!! Our country has no where go with so much hate!!
…… Something to Ponder
The United States has become a place where entertainers and professional athletes are mistaken for people of importance….
I’ve Needed a Doctor..
I’ve Needed a Teacher..
I NEED farmers every day..
I have NEEDED an auto mechanic, a plumber, a house painter and a lot of other everyday people.
But I have NEVER, not even once, NEEDED a pro athlete, a media personality, or a Hollywood entertainer for ANYTHING!
Who cares what he thinks?
No!
Actually we saw the value of our 401Ks decimated under the Court Jester: Joe Biden and his 17% inflation (no, it WASN’T “transitory” and Janet Yellen DIDN’T have the tools to control it)!
Worthless IDIOTS (and I do mean ALL Democrats)!
Jeff Daniels lost me as a fan. I know that he won’t miss me but you get 1,000,000 of us and he won’t find many Hollywierd job offers in the future.
I know I won’t be watching the new Reagan film. Such a shame as I liked Reagan. Jeff is a dumb loser.
He actually said that liz cheney would have been kamel toe’s SecState, Bwahahahahahahah!
Have enjoyed his acting for many years…. actually thought he had some common sense! SMH!
