Schumer explodes over DC cleanup: ‘No f‑‑‑ing way … we’ll fight him tooth and nail’

by

In yet another showdown between the left’s obsession with chaos and the right’s commitment to restoring order, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) declared Wednesday that Democrats will outright reject any effort by President Donald Trump to extend federal control over the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) and continue the deployment of the National Guard past the 30-day limit permitted under current law.

President Trump, who is working to crack down on violent crime and restore public safety in the nation’s capital, invoked his authority under the Home Rule Act, which allows him to take control of the D.C. police force for 30 days. Any extension beyond that period requires congressional approval—something Schumer made clear will not happen under Democrat control.

In an interview with liberal activist and influencer Aaron Parnas, Schumer didn’t mince words: “No f‑‑‑ing way,” he said when asked whether Democrats would support an extension. He doubled down: “We’ll fight him tooth and nail. … He needs to get Congress to approve it, and not only are we not going to approve it, but there are some Republicans who don’t like it either.”

Schumer, in what has become an increasingly desperate attempt to discredit Trump’s law-and-order stance, pivoted to an off-topic conspiracy theory, stating, “He’s afraid of Epstein,” referring to the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. “He’s afraid of all that, and we are not going to give up on Epstein.”

This, of course, is par for the course from Democrats—distract, deflect, and deny. Rather than engage in serious policy discussions about rising crime in D.C. and across urban America, Schumer and his allies choose to sling mud and conspiracy.

Meanwhile, President Trump remains focused on what matters: protecting citizens and restoring safety. “If it’s a national emergency, we can do it without Congress,” Trump said at the Kennedy Center. “But we expect to be before Congress very quickly.” He emphasized the need for legislative backing of a broader crime bill that would “pertain initially to D.C.” but serve as a model for other crime-ridden cities around the country.

Unsurprisingly, both Maryland senators also signaled their opposition to the president’s plan. Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) echoed Schumer’s alarmist rhetoric, claiming, “This is, in some ways, a dress rehearsal for going after others around the country. … This should never have started, so I definitely want to make sure it doesn’t continue.”

The left’s panic is revealing. With violent crime continuing to plague major U.S. cities—most of them under decades of Democratic control—President Trump’s bold stance on public safety is drawing sharp contrast. According to Trump, “The numbers are worse than they ever were. Don’t let anyone tell you they’re not. … They said it’s the best in 20 years. No, it’s the worst in 20 years.”

While mainstream outlets like MSNBC continue to frame the President’s actions as authoritarian, the reality is that he is using the authority granted to him by law to respond to what many see as a crisis of public safety in the capital.

Anchor Katy Tur highlighted the 30-day limit imposed by the Home Rule Act but attempted to undermine the president’s rationale, stating, “Those numbers about crime in D.C. are not correct,” and suggested that the National Guard “can’t really do anything.” Yet anyone who has witnessed the breakdown of law and order in D.C.—from brazen daylight carjackings to attacks on police—knows that local officials are failing, and federal action may be the only option left.

This isn’t about power grabs—it’s about the safety of the American people. While Democrats grandstand and media outlets spin, President Trump is offering real solutions. The question now is whether Republicans in Congress will stand united, or allow political pressure to sideline the urgent task of protecting our nation’s capital.

  1. Yes, the moron driven in big SUV to his suburban pad, surrounded by police security, feels safe. With AOC stepping on his toes his foul language is not going to help.

  2. What is it about liberal socialistic communistic Marxist racist democrats. That they always believe IN letting things decay and fall apart is good. Why do they think letting regular people should be allowed to be beaten by thugs. While THEY’RE PROTECTED BY THEIR SECURITY DETAILS.
