Roseanne has a few choice things to say to anyone mad about Kimmel’s ousting

by

In a stunning case of irony meeting karma, ABC has reportedly canceled Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show following widespread outrage over a controversial comedy segment aired in the aftermath of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk’s shocking assassination. Now, some on the Left are crying “fascism” and claiming the end of free speech—but Roseanne Barr is here to remind them exactly who laid this groundwork.

To recap, this all started when Kimmel decided it would be “funny” to use a politically motivated murder as fodder for late-night laughs. The segment aired mere days after Kirk was gunned down by a radical reportedly radicalized by online leftist rhetoric—a tragedy witnessed live by millions.

As Kirk’s family mourns, Democrats and progressive pundits flooded social media with either open mockery of the victim or moral justification for the killing. Sympathy was in short supply. The condemnation from the Left was not for the act itself—but rather for Kirk’s views.

Yet when ABC pulled Kimmel from the air amid growing public backlash, suddenly the Left was aghast. “Fascism!” they cried. “Censorship!” The same people who led the charge to cancel Roseanne Barr in 2018 now pretend to be defenders of free expression.

Barr, never one to hold back, responded to the hypocrisy with scathing clarity. She reminded Americans that her own career with ABC was obliterated in a single day over a tweet that, while tasteless, hardly warranted nuclear-level outrage. Back then, Barr made a comment referencing former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett’s appearance. The media erupted, and ABC executives wasted no time axing her from her namesake show. Barr was branded a racist, and virtually no one on the Left raised a concern about “free speech.”

The difference? Barr was canceled for a joke, and Kimmel is now facing blowback for laughing through a political murder. Yet now, the Left claims victimhood?

Let’s be clear: Jimmy Kimmel was among the loudest voices calling for Barr’s head years ago. Long before her tweet about Jarrett, the Left had targeted Roseanne for her outspoken conservative views and support for President Trump. The Jarrett comment was simply the excuse they needed to pull the trigger.

And now? The shoe is finally on the other foot.

Claims that the FCC pressured ABC into pulling Kimmel remain unverified. But even if they did, conservatives are asking a fair question: Where was this concern for free speech when the Biden administration was colluding with Big Tech to suppress dissent about COVID lockdowns, vaccine mandates, or the Hunter Biden laptop?

Where was the defense of “free speech” when Twitter silenced doctors, locked accounts of parents protesting school boards, and shadow-banned conservative journalists?

This isn’t about free speech. This is about power, and the Left is furious that it’s being held to the same standards it forced on everyone else for years.

And make no mistake—Kimmel’s cancellation didn’t come out of nowhere. It came because he chose to mock the murder of a conservative figure who was loved and respected by millions. That’s not edgy. That’s sociopathic.

Roseanne’s message is simple: You wanted this world. You built it. Now live in it.

Perhaps it’s finally time for a real conversation about free expression—for everyone. But if the Left only shows up when their own suffer consequences, don’t expect the rest of America to take their cries seriously.
