Transgender live‑in lover vanishes as questions swirl in Kirk assassination case

by

ST. GEORGE, Utah — The live‑in transgender partner of the accused Charlie Kirk assassin appears to have vanished from their shared Utah townhouse, leaving mail stacking at the door — as public outrage intensifies over the partner’s failure to alert authorities after a purported confession.

Neighbors in the quiet St. George community say Lance Twiggs, 22, has not been seen in days. The couple’s $1,800/month townhouse reportedly shows no signs of recent activity; mail, flyers, and notices remain untouched outside door number 73.

Local resident Jesse Riley, who lives just a few houses away, told The Post, “It definitely is a shock it happened here. It’s a quiet neighborhood. You know your neighbor on your left or your right, but people are pretty isolated.” He added that no one has been seen leaving or entering the unit, and “there are still all these notes on the door, so it looks like nobody has been in there.”

Earlier statements from Washington County Sheriff Nate Brooksby suggest Twiggs has been relocated to a “safe space very far away from St. George” and told to remain hidden “for a long time.”

Though Twiggs has not been charged in the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, law enforcement insiders say he has been a key figure in the case. Investigators allege that the shooter, Tyler Robinson, 22, left a note under Twiggs’s desktop keyboard instructing Twiggs to find it after the fatal attack. Robinson also purportedly confessed to the killing via text message — messages that Twiggs responded to in apparent shock and confusion.

Twiggs, who identifies as a transgender woman, has been labeled the “black sheep” of his family. A relative claims Twiggs’s parents expelled them in 2018, calling them “problematic” and accusing them of disrespect. Substance use, heavy involvement in video games, and “acting out” were cited as contributing factors to family strife.

After being forced out, Twiggs reportedly lived with grandparents before moving in with a series of college roommates — and eventually welcoming Robinson into their home once the roommates moved on. Family members say they were unaware of Twiggs’s romantic relationship with Robinson until authorities broke the story.

With Twiggs’s sudden disappearance, mounting public pressure, and still-active law enforcement presence in the neighborhood more than two weeks after Robinson’s arrest, questions continue to swirl about who knew what, when — and whether justice will be fully served.
