Instant karma! Protester berating ICE forgets to park car—watches it sink into lake

Upton, MA — In a moment many are calling a case of “instant karma,” an anti-ICE protester in Massachusetts lost more than just an argument last week—she lost her car to a lake.

According to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) source who spoke to Fox News, the incident occurred in the small town of Upton, about 40 miles west of Boston. Protesters had gathered to voice opposition to ICE agents conducting an arrest of an illegal alien in the area—a scene that’s reportedly become increasingly common in recent weeks.

As tensions flared and voices rose, one activist, focused more on berating federal agents than on basic vehicle safety, apparently forgot to put her car in park. The vehicle slowly rolled downhill and plunged straight into a nearby lake, sinking before stunned bystanders.

A video clip and photograph—shared with Fox News by an ICE source—document the surreal moment. In the footage, a voice remarks dryly, “Well that sucks. Look at that Lucy. Her car got lost,” as the vehicle drifts helplessly into the water. The woman, seemingly stunned, watches from the shore as her car disappears beneath the surface.

In the same clip, an officer can be seen walking past the camera, appearing to escort a person in handcuffs—presumably the illegal alien who was the focus of the protest.

Progressive activists in the region have been increasingly vocal in their opposition to immigration enforcement, even in cases involving known lawbreakers.

Critics of open-border policies were quick to seize on the footage, pointing out what they say is a growing disconnect between pro-illegal immigration demonstrators and reality.

“Too busy defending someone here illegally to park her car. That pretty much sums up the movement,” quipped one commenter on social media.

No injuries were reported, but the protester’s vehicle is likely a total loss.
