On Monday, Eric Trump reminded America that the Biden administration tried to force a divorce between his father, President Donald Trump, and First Lady Melania Trump. The claim came during an appearance on Newsmax, where he rattled off a very long list of legal assaults that were clearly personal attacks on the entire Trump family itself.
During the broadcast, host Rob Schmitt aired a montage of news anchors and Democratic officials criticizing the newly filed indictment of former FBI Director James Comey. That indictment alleges that Comey made false statements during his 2020 congressional testimony. The move has drawn skepticism from some legal analysts, many of whom argue that the case lacks sufficient evidence to lead to a conviction.
Critics have seized upon the Comey indictment as proof, they claim, that President Trump is manipulating the Department of Justice to punish political adversaries. But Eric Trump firmly rejected that interpretation, declaring that his family is the true victim of weaponized justice.
“I’m the subject of 112 subpoenas, never having done a damn thing wrong in my life … being a perfect role model … no laptops from hell, nothing,” he said. “And they came after me like I was a dog.”
From there, he listed long‑standing grievances against the federal prosecutions targeting his father. Trump recalled how the justice system twice tried to impeach President Trump, launched a “Russia hoax,” surveilled his campaign, and orchestrated mass indictments.
He continued:
“They tried to impeach my father two times. You know, they went after him for a Russia hoax that did not exist … The FBI and the DOJ spied on my father’s campaign. They de‑platformed him. They weaponized every attorney general … They indicted him 91 times, 34 times in a bogus trial in New York City.
They posted his mugshot … they gagged him … raided his home … raided Mar‑a‑Lago … tried to get him divorced … tried to separate our family … attacked us … tried to bankrupt our company … de‑platformed us … stripped every bank account …
And Merrick Garland was at the forefront of all of it. And Joe Biden was at the forefront … when they raided Melania’s closet … when they raided 16‑year‑old Barron’s room.”
