On Thursday’s episode of Rush Hour with James Golden aka Bo Snerdley on WABC, the show turned a sharp and much-needed focus on former President Barack Obama’s carefully crafted — and conspicuously incomplete — response to the new Middle East peace agreement. Golden, never one to shy away from cutting through political fog, highlighted the stark contrast between media praise, strategic silence, and selective political gratitude.
With the first phase of the peace plan now signed, reactions are rolling in — even from corners of the mainstream media. Some are cautiously applauding the progress. Others, notably silent, let their silence speak volumes. But as Golden noted with his trademark clarity and biting humor, the centerpiece came when “Lord Barack Hussein Obama, the merciful, praise be his name,” decided to weigh in.
Obama’s statement acknowledged “two years of unimaginable loss and suffering for Israeli families and the people of Gaza,” and suggested that we should be “encouraged and relieved” at the prospect of peace and the return of hostages. He also emphasized the need for rebuilding Gaza and pursuing a peace that “recognizes the common humanity and basic rights of both peoples.”
But as Bo Snerdley quickly pointed out, something vital was missing.
Gratitude for the man who actually made the deal happen: President Donald J. Trump.
Golden didn’t mince words: “Thank you, President Trump. He didn’t say the next part. He didn’t say thank you, Donald Trump.” Obama’s statement was devoid of any acknowledgment of Trump’s instrumental role in laying the groundwork for peace. This was a glaring omission — and one that conservative listeners know all too well is not accidental.
Obama’s refusal to credit Trump reflects political revisionism, where results don’t matter if they come from the “wrong” president. But as Golden made crystal clear, the facts stand on their own. Trump’s leadership in the Middle East — including historic deals like the Abraham Accords — has done more to move the region toward peace than decades of diplomatic dithering.
So while Obama lectures the world on “common humanity” and urges nations to unite in rebuilding, conservatives see the truth: real leadership is measured by action, not eloquent platitudes. And in this case, the man who deserves the thanks is not the one writing the statement — it’s the one whose name he refused to say.
Thank you, President Trump. Even if Obama can’t bring himself to say it, we will.

This fraud belongs in Guantanamo! In my 69 years I’ve never seen a former president (?) remark so negatively on a sitting president! He(?) spews hatred with every word from his(?) pie hole!
Obama is a bitch. All he needs to do is say, Good job Donald but he can’t be enough of a decent human being to do that
