‘On it!’ Trump comes to the rescue as ‘Dilbert’ creator begs him to save his life

by

“On it!”: That was the response from Donald Trump after renowned cartoonist Scott Adams reached out in desperation. Adams, creator of the iconic comic strip Dilbert and a staunch Trump supporter, is battling aggressive, metastasized prostate cancer that has spread to his bones.

In a public appeal posted on X, Adams wrote:

“On Monday, I will ask President Trump, via X, to help save my life. He offered to help me if I needed it. I need it.”

He elaborated:

“As many of you know, I have metastasized prostate cancer. My healthcare provider, Kaiser of Northern California, has approved my application to receive a newly FDA‐approved drug called Pluvicto. But they have dropped the ball in scheduling the brief IV to administer it and I can’t seem to fix that.”

And he added:

“I am declining fast. … It will give me a fighting chance to stick around on this planet a little bit longer.”

Adams is awaiting administration of Pluvicto, a recently approved radioligand therapy for advanced prostate cancer. Although it is not a cure, he acknowledges it “does give good results to many people.”

By his account, his healthcare provider, Kaiser Permanente (Northern California region), approved the drug but has failed to schedule the required IV infusion in a timely way. Adams fears time is running short.

President Trump didn’t hesitate. When Adams called, he answered: “On it!”

Meanwhile, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.—serving as HHS Director in this story—also weighed in: “Scott. How do I reach you? The President wants to help.”

Inside Kaiser, a health-system physician, Afshine Emrani, publicly noted:“Kaiser is paying attention. The medical directors are on this now.”

In other words: when government steps back to let real people, real initiative, and real urgency lead the way, good things can happen—even within giant systems.

Back in May, Adams revealed that he has the same aggressive prostate cancer that former President Joe Biden disclosed. Adams said:

“I have the same cancer that Joe Biden has. … I also have prostate cancer that has also spread to my bones.”

He predicted:

“I expect to be checking out from this domain sometime this summer.”

He also extended sympathy to Biden’s family, asserting:

“I’d like to extend my respect and compassion for the ex-president and his family because they’re going through an especially tough time. It’s a terrible disease.”
