President Donald Trump has officially had it with Senate foot-dragging—and he’s blasting the alarm siren straight from Truth Social. In a fiery Monday post, Trump warned that Democrats are openly plotting a Supreme Court takeover so extreme it makes FDR look like a moderate.
And the source of this latest revelation? None other than former Obama Attorney General Eric Holder—yes, the same Eric Holder Trump dubbed the “Obama sycophant” and “known as ‘FAST AND FURIOUS’.”
Holder appeared in a video chat with MeidasTouch co-founder Ben Meiselas, where he mused that if Democrats win a “trifecta” in 2028, expanding the Supreme Court should absolutely be “under consideration.” Translation: If they seize power, they’ll rewrite the rules of the republic.
Trump didn’t mince words, warning Republicans that Holder “emphatically stated, above all else, that Democrats will PACK the Supreme Court of the United States if they get the chance. The word is, he wants 21 Radical Left Activist Judges, not being satisfied with the heretofore 15 that they were seeking.”
Twenty-one justices. Let that sink in. Democrats want to turn the nation’s highest court into a progressive super-legislature—and they’re saying it out loud now.
Trump says there’s only one way to stop it: eliminate the Senate filibuster before Democrats do it themselves. He argued the GOP would not only protect the Court but also secure victory in the 2026 midterms and the 2028 presidential race if they act decisively.
“It will be 21, they will destroy our Constitution, and there’s not a thing that the Republicans can do about it unless we TERMINATE THE FILIBUSTER, which will lead to an easy WIN of the Midterms, and an even easier WIN in the Presidential Election of 2028,” Trump declared.
And he didn’t stop there. Citing the American public’s frustration with endless gridlock, Trump asked why Republican senators would even consider leaving the door open for Democrats to slam the country with radical judicial expansion.
“Why would the Republicans even think about giving them this opportunity? The American People don’t want gridlock, they want their Leaders to GET THINGS DONE — TERMINATE THE FILIBUSTER, AND HAVE THE MOST SUCCESSFUL FOUR YEARS IN THE HISTORY OF OUR COUNTRY, BY FAR, WITH NOT EVEN THE HINT OF A SHUTDOWN OF OUR GREAT NATION ON JANUARY 30TH!”
With Democrats like Holder openly fantasizing about a supersized Supreme Court and party insiders sparring over how extreme to go, some conservatives warn—like Senator Ron Johnson has already done—that the GOP will be in serious trouble if they pretend Democrats won’t “nuke” the filibuster the moment it benefits them.
Trump’s message to Republicans is simple: Stop playing defense. Start fighting like you intend to win. Or hand Democrats the keys to the Constitution.
