Laura Ingraham presses Trump administration for answers on Iranian school blast

by

Fox News heavyweight Laura Ingraham is standing firmly in the corner of President Donald Trump — but she’s also warning that the administration cannot leave unanswered questions hanging in the air about a devastating wartime strike in Iran.

The conservative host doubled down Monday on her call for a full explanation after new video surfaced that appears to show a U.S. missile slamming into an Iranian girls’ school during the early hours of the U.S.–Israeli campaign against Tehran.

Ingraham made her position clear in a post on the social media platform X, writing: “Re-upping what I said last week: Admin must wrap its investigation and address head-on. Horrible unintended tragedy of this war.”

The renewed controversy comes after reporting by The New York Times revealed newly surfaced footage that appears to show a U.S. Tomahawk cruise missile striking near a school in southern Iran.

According to the paper, the video — initially posted by Iran’s Mehr News Agency and later verified by the newspaper — shows a missile streaking through the sky toward what appears to be a nearby naval facility in the town of Minab.

Moments later, the explosion obliterates the adjacent Shajarah Tayyebeh elementary school building.

The strike reportedly occurred during the opening wave of the joint U.S.–Israeli offensive known as Operation Epic Fury.

Iranian state media claims the blast killed 175 people, including a large number of children.

Crucially, the Times noted that Tomahawk cruise missiles are deployed exclusively by the U.S. military, raising immediate questions about whether American forces were responsible for the strike.

The issue has already reached the Oval Office.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One over the weekend, Trump dismissed the notion that U.S. forces carried out the attack and suggested the Iranian regime may have been behind it.

“No, in my opinion, based on what I’ve seen, that was done by Iran,” the president said when asked directly about the strike.

The comment highlights the uncertainty still surrounding the incident — and the high-stakes political and moral implications if American weapons were involved.

Ingraham had already sounded the alarm days earlier after a report in The Wall Street Journal indicated that U.S. military investigators believed American forces were “likely responsible” for the February 28 strike.

Her reaction was immediate and unambiguous.

“If true, this is horrific news – and the U.S. military will have to address this publicly,” she wrote Friday.

At the same time, Ingraham acknowledged a key factor often present in modern warfare: the school was reportedly located near a military facility.

“Proximity of military compound obviously a factor, but our weapons also have pinpoint accuracy,” she added.

Ingraham’s stance is notable precisely because she has been one of Trump’s most reliable defenders in the media.

As she put it plainly: “Admin must wrap its investigation and address head-on.”
