Even before his latest brush with trouble, golf superstar Tiger Woods was already being kept firmly out of the driver’s seat — at least when it came to the grandchildren of Donald Trump.
According to a report from the New York Post, Woods was never cleared to chauffeur the president’s grandkids — a restriction that insiders say had nothing to do with his most recent arrest.
The reason? Simple: security.
Woods has been romantically linked to Vanessa Trump, the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr. and mother to five of Trump’s grandchildren. But despite the relationship, sources say federal protection protocols left no wiggle room.
“Secret Service agents are ‘certainly not letting Tiger Woods – even without the DUI’ drive Trump’s grandkids,” a family insider told the Post bluntly.
Another source underscored the obvious: “There would be concern if their kids weren’t being protected by Secret Service.”
In other words — no exceptions, no matter how famous the driver.
The revelation comes as Woods finds himself back in the headlines following a frightening crash Friday in Jupiter Island. Behind the wheel of a black Range Rover, Woods collided with another vehicle, sending his SUV tipping onto its side.
Miraculously, no one was hurt. And notably, neither Vanessa Trump nor any of the president’s grandchildren were anywhere near the vehicle at the time.
Authorities say Woods passed a breathalyzer test at the scene — but raised eyebrows by declining to submit a urine sample.
The incident quickly drew a reaction from Trump himself, who struck a sympathetic tone when speaking from Florida.
“I feel so badly,” the former president said. “He’s got some difficulty. There was an accident and that’s all I know. Very close friend of mine. He’s an amazing person, amazing man. But some difficulty.”
Still, critics note this isn’t exactly uncharted territory for the embattled golf legend.
Friday’s wreck marks the fourth major car incident tied to Woods since 2009 — a pattern that’s become increasingly hard to ignore. In 2017, he was arrested in Jupiter Island after being found asleep behind the wheel in the middle of the night. He later pleaded guilty to reckless driving in that case.
Taken together, the history paints a troubling picture: a world-class athlete whose off-course missteps continue to overshadow his legacy.
