‘Sit this one out’: Kamala roasted after pre-buttal swipe at Trump

by

Former Vice President Kamala Harris lit up social media Wednesday with a blistering attack on President Donald Trump—before he even addressed the nation on Iran. But instead of landing a punch, Harris found herself on the receiving end of a brutal online pile-on from conservatives who weren’t buying what she was selling.

In a video posted to X that racked up nearly 3 million views, Harris accused Trump of dragging America into a war nobody asked for. “He brought America into a war that people don’t want, he has put American troops in harm’s way, costs are rising by the day, and meanwhile he has done nothing to address the needs of the people of America,” she said.

And in a move that raised eyebrows, Harris added she “won’t be able” to watch Trump’s speech—while insisting Americans should focus less on what he says and more on what he does. She predicted the president would try to “claim victory” in Iran, but warned that “the reality is we’re watching what he does instead of listening to what he says.”

That didn’t land well.

Conservatives wasted no time firing back, torching Harris for what they see as a stunning lack of self-awareness after years of economic pain, border chaos, and foreign policy blunders under the Biden administration.

“It’s pretty disgraceful for you to claim President Trump has done nothing to meet the needs of the American people,” Rep. Tom Emmer shot back. “Here’s the truth: He’s cleaning up the chaos YOU caused here in the United States and across the globe, and is making America great again. On top of that, he has the guts to confront the Iranian regime, the largest state sponsor of terrorism in the world!”

Others were even less charitable.

“The time off hasn’t made her any smarter,” quipped America First Legal senior adviser Ian Prior.

“She wants to run for President,” added former Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows—reading between the lines of Harris’ sudden reemergence.

Conservative radio host Larry O’Connor didn’t mince words either: “Bullet dodged.”

And the hits kept coming.

“Don’t. Your plan to handle Iran was letting them spend Obama’s pallets of cash on missiles and nukes,” blasted Oklahoma Lt. Gov. candidate T.W. Shannon.

“You let in 15M illegal aliens into this country,” said Gokhshtein Media CEO David Gokhshtein. “Sit this one out.”

Even the White House joined the fray, with spokesperson Anna Kelly delivering a scorcher of a statement: “Kamala Harris oversaw the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan and ushered in an invasion of migrant criminals into our homeland. She should listen to the overwhelming majority of Americans who want her to crawl under a coconut tree and go away.”

Ouch.

Meanwhile, Trump took the stage later that night with a dramatically different tone—projecting strength and victory after a 32-day U.S. military campaign against Iran.

“I can say tonight that we are on track to complete all of America’s military objectives shortly,” Trump declared. “Very shortly, we are going to hit them extremely hard over the next two to three weeks.”

“We’re going to bring them back to the Stone Ages where they belong,” the president said, while noting that diplomatic talks are still underway.

Trump also asserted that Iran is now “essentially really no longer a threat” after weeks of punishing U.S. strikes—framing the operation as both decisive and necessary.

If Harris was testing the waters for a political comeback, Wednesday’s reaction suggests she may have waded into the deep end—without a life vest.
