Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is unloading on her own side again, pointing the finger squarely at Donald Trump after a razor-thin but hugely consequential vote in Virginia handed Democrats a redistricting edge.
The Old Dominion — once reliable Republican turf — just signed off on a mid-decade redraw that could skew the state’s congressional lineup to a lopsided 10 Democrats to just 1 Republican.
And Greene? She’s not whispering about it — she’s blasting it.
“Virginia just voted to redraw House district lines, taking their state from 6D-5R to 10D-1R, eliminating 4 Republican seats just by redrawing the map,” she wrote on X. “A once red state is turning into one of the bluest states because people don’t want to support Republicans now.”
That’s not exactly a unity message.
But Greene didn’t stop at electoral math. She went full flamethrower, accusing Trump of torching the very movement that put him back in power.
“Trump betraying the America First wing of MAGA is going to have devastating consequences in the midterms,” she wrote. “I’ve been warning of this all along.”
Then came the laundry list — and it wasn’t pretty:
“No more foreign wars and regime change (he started war in Iran), lowering inflation and cost of living (his war is increasing inflation and gas and diesel and it’s just starting), release the Epstein files (he fought it and called it a hoax) are some of the top issues that has caused a revolt on the right and a mass exodus of America First Trump voters.”
If that sounds like a rebellion, Greene says it is — and it’s growing. “Add on the betrayals to the MAHA wing and it gets even worse.” And in case anyone thought she’d spare congressional Republicans, think again.
“But it’s not just Trump, it’s the Republicans in the House and Senate too. They love the donations and the parties and praise they get from the big donors and lobbyists representing the big corporations.”
“There wont be accountability. They will not drain the swamp. And Trump is not your retribution. It’s a tough pill to swallow, but open your eyes and look at the facts and take note of their actions. Stop lapping up their meaningless words.”
Greene even invoked the specter of another endless Middle East conflict: “Our loved military is once again fighting in the Middle East, your money is paying for Israel’s war, and once again people will suffer and die.”
This isn’t some sudden falling-out. Greene’s been drifting from Trump World for months — clashing over everything from foreign policy to transparency around Jeffrey Epstein. Tensions hit a boiling point after Trump’s fiery rhetoric toward Iran, with Greene even floating the nuclear option: the 25th Amendment.
She also took offense when Trump posted — and later deleted — an image portraying himself as a Jesus-like figure, calling it “blasphemy.”
Meanwhile, the Virginia shakeup is just the latest salvo in a nationwide redistricting arms race that’s starting to look like political trench warfare. Trump kicked things off last year in Texas, pushing for a map overhaul to squeeze out more GOP seats. “I got the highest vote in the history of Texas, as you probably know, and we are entitled to five more seats,” Trump said.
Texas delivered, thanks to Gov. Greg Abbott — but Democrats didn’t sit on their hands. Out in California, Gov. Gavin Newsom counterpunched with a redraw of his own, aiming to cancel out Republican gains seat-for-seat.
Other states are now piling in. Missouri and North Carolina could tilt slightly redder, Ohio might follow, while efforts have stalled in places like Indiana and Utah thanks to internal GOP resistance and judicial pushback.
And Florida? It’s still a work in progress, with lawmakers gearing up for another bruising map battle in the coming weeks.
