A fed-up garbage truck driver became the unexpected voice of working America Wednesday night when he unloaded on anti-ICE protesters who blocked him from doing his job outside Newark’s Delaney Hall detention facility — where another evening of left-wing street theater spiraled into chaos.

“What’s wrong with ya all?” the furious driver shouted at demonstrators as they clogged the roadway outside the ICE center, according to dramatic footage circulating online.

The worker, wearing a reflective orange safety shirt, could be seen gesturing angrily at the crowd before climbing back into his truck, clearly stunned that a guy trying to haul trash had become collateral damage in Newark’s latest anti-border enforcement spectacle.

The confrontation unfolded as protesters — including masked agitators waving Antifa flags and wearing keffiyeh scarves — squared off with federal immigration agents outside the 1,000-bed detention facility. Video from the scene showed officers using batons and chemical irritants as demonstrators pushed into streets and blocked access around the building.

The unrest comes after activists claimed detainees inside Delaney Hall launched a hunger and labor strike over alleged living conditions during Memorial Day weekend. But Homeland Security officials flatly rejected those claims, saying there is “no ongoing hunger strike” and “no subprime conditions” inside the facility.

In a blistering statement posted to X earlier this week, Homeland Security official Markwayne Mullin torched what he called “New Jersey sanctuary politicians” for spending the holiday weekend attacking ICE officers instead of backing law enforcement.

“They should be thanking our law enforcement for removing these murderers, pedophiles, rapists and drug traffickers from their state,” Mullin wrote.

Federal officials also pushed back hard against accusations of mistreatment at the facility, insisting detainees receive “3 meals a day, clean water, clothing, bedding, showers, soap, toiletries, and opportunities to communicate with their family members and lawyers.”

“Aliens are also provided comprehensive healthcare, including medical, dental, and mental health services as available, and access to medical appointments and 24-hour emergency care,” the agency added. “For many illegal aliens this is the BEST healthcare they have received their entire lives.”

Meanwhile, ordinary Newark workers just trying to punch the clock got stuck navigating yet another protest turned public nuisance.
