‘…as long as King Kong’s genitalia’: Sen. Kennedy unloads on the ‘Hamas wing of Democratic Party’

by

Sen. John Kennedy of Louisiana has never been accused of speaking in cautious, carefully sanitized Washington talking points.

This week, the Republican senator once again proved why he has become one of Capitol Hill’s most quoted lawmakers, unleashing a colorful critique of the Democratic Party’s increasingly leftward drift while discussing the political fallout surrounding Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner.

Appearing on Fox News, Kennedy mocked Democratic leaders for expressing surprise over the latest allegations surrounding Platner, a candidate who has already faced mounting scrutiny during his campaign.

“With respect to Mr. Platner, he was nominated by the Hamas wing of the Democratic Party, which is in control,” Kennedy said. “With respect to the new allegations or revelations about him, I was completely shocked. Who could possibly have seen this coming? It’s not like there were signs or something.”

The Louisiana senator then sharpened the knife.

“I tell you who saw it coming. Every American who was paying attention, and who has an IQ above a toaster, knew that this guy’s motherboard was fried,” Kennedy said. “Even my colleague, Senator Schumer, who can’t even cook a cheeseburger, saw this coming.”

Kennedy also dismissed Democratic hopes of unseating Republican Sen. Susan Collins in Maine, arguing that her long-standing popularity with voters remains badly underestimated by political activists and national operatives.

“There is a reason that she’s been a United States senator from Maine since God was a baby,” Kennedy joked. “The people like her. They respect her toughness. If you get between Susan and what’s best for Maine and America, she will devour you like a light snack and the people of Maine like that.”

But Kennedy’s broader target wasn’t Platner.

It was what he sees as the growing influence of democratic socialism inside the modern Democratic Party.

Pointing to Michigan’s Senate race and progressive candidate Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, Kennedy argued that many of the party’s rising stars are embracing policies that Americans have repeatedly rejected. “My third point is the Hamas wing of the Democratic Party is about to do the same thing in Michigan,” Kennedy said. “They are going to nominate, for the Senate, this guy, Dr. Abdul El-Sayed.”

According to Kennedy, the issue extends beyond individual candidates. “They all believe the same thing, they stand for the same thing. Kill all the millionaires, open the prisons, open the border. Defund the police. Defund ICE.”

Then came the line that instantly exploded across social media.

“Every single one of them knows the words to the Cuban national anthem. They are all neo-socialists,” Kennedy said. “Now, unless you were playing frisbee in the quad during history class or economics class, you know the list — you know the list of countries that have tried socialism and rejected it is as long as King Kong’s genitalia.”

Kennedy then rattled off examples.

“It’s not just Cuba. It’s the USSR. It’s China. It’s Vietnam. It’s Argentina. It’s Venezuela. I could keep going.”

The senator concluded with a warning that carried more seriousness than humor.

“For my party, this makes me happy. For my country, it makes me sad.”

Later in the interview, Kennedy jokingly walked back his now-viral comparison.

“I take back what I said about genitalia,” he said. “I probably shouldn’t have said that.”
