WASHINGTON — Iran’s propaganda machine has once again crossed a dangerous line.
A disturbing video circulated Monday by Tasnim News Agency—an outlet closely associated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)—appears to encourage violence against First Lady Melania Trump while ending with a direct threat aimed at the president’s son, Barron Trump.
The professionally produced video, titled “Where to Kill Melania?!” or “How to Kill Melania Trump,” uses surveillance-style graphics, AI-generated imagery and publicly available information to portray the First Lady’s movements through New York City.
According to English subtitles included in the production, the video encourages so-called “global freedom fighters” to target Melania Trump during shopping trips and public appearances.
It concludes with an ominous warning:
“This is just the beginning. Barron Trump, wait for us.”
The latest production is not an isolated incident.
Over the past several weeks, Iranian regime-linked media and organizations have released multiple propaganda pieces depicting President Donald Trump and members of his family as assassination targets.
Earlier this month, large billboards erected in Tehran displayed bloodied images of Melania Trump, Barron Trump and other members of the Trump family alongside threatening slogans calling for retaliation.
Another recently surfaced Iranian video purported to map President Trump’s travel routes between Palm Beach International Airport, Mar-a-Lago and Trump Tower in New York while discussing potential vulnerabilities in his security detail.
The U.S. Secret Service acknowledged it was examining that earlier production.
Iranian officials and regime-affiliated media have repeatedly vowed revenge following U.S. military actions against senior Iranian military leaders over the past several years.
American intelligence agencies have previously disclosed multiple alleged Iranian assassination plots directed at President Trump and former administration officials.
The newest propaganda campaign broadens those threats beyond the president himself to include members of his immediate family.
The video claims to rely on information gathered from “anonymous security networks” and satellite imagery, although analysts note that much of the information shown appears to come from publicly available sources.
The footage also spread rapidly across social media platforms after being amplified by state-controlled Russian media outlets and other foreign accounts.
Neither the East Wing nor the Secret Service immediately issued detailed public statements regarding the latest video, although federal agencies have continued monitoring Iranian threats against current and former U.S. officials.
