Trump goes nuclear on Tucker, MTG and Massie: ‘LOSERS ALL!’

by

BS BULLETIN:

  • Trump erupted Friday night at Tucker Carlson, Marjorie Taylor Greene and Thomas Massie, branding the trio “LOSERS ALL!”
  • The feud follows their public charge that Trump has “betrayed” America First, particularly over foreign wars.
  • The intrigue: JD Vance just attended a fundraiser hosted in part by businessmen with deep ties to Tucker Carlson.

President Trump has officially reached the no-more-Christmas-cards stage of his relationship with Tucker Carlson, Marjorie Taylor Greene and Thomas Massie.

In a scorched-earth Truth Social post Friday night, Trump unloaded on three former allies who have increasingly positioned themselves as guardians of an America First movement they contend Trump himself has abandoned. “Tucker Carlson just met with Lightweight ‘Former’ Congressman, Thomas Massie, and Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Greene, LOSERS ALL!” Trump began.

And that was the warm-up.

Trump declared Carlson’s audience had “fallen through the floor,” called him “totally irrelevant” and a “very Low I.Q. individual,” and even questioned whether the former Fox News superstar managed to graduate from college. Trump also mocked speculation about Carlson entering politics, suggesting he should be required to take a cognitive test first.

Carlson has become one of Trump’s most prominent critics on the right, particularly over the war with Iran and America’s relationship with Israel. Earlier this year, Carlson said he was “tormented” by his previous support for Trump and has argued that the president abandoned the anti-war promises that helped build his MAGA coalition.

Trump saved some especially colorful ammunition for Greene. “Marjorie Taylor Brown (Green turns to Brown under stress!), a highly neurotic young woman,” Trump wrote, claiming the former Georgia congresswoman transformed from an “Ultra Conservative” into a liberal “Fool” because Trump stopped returning her calls.

Greene, who resigned from Congress earlier this year after her spectacular falling-out with Trump, has a rather different explanation. On Aug. 1, Greene posted a photo from a gathering at Carlson’s Maine home that included Carlson, Massie and former counterterrorism official Joe Kent. “We said no more foreign wars and we meant it and supported Donald Trump because he made that promise,” Greene wrote. “But he’s betrayed us all.”

“Our commitment is America First for all Americans, right, left, and center,” she continued. “The movement has begun.”

Carlson subsequently reposted Greene’s message and added his own declaration: “MAGA was betrayed. We all were.”

Then there’s Massie.

The Kentucky congressman has repeatedly clashed with Trump, including over the Epstein files and foreign policy. Trump backed Massie’s primary opponent, Ed Gallrein, who defeated him this year. In Friday’s blast, Trump dismissed Massie as a “failed politician” and “a real JERK.”

But there is something else here that makes this more than another Trump social-media broadside.

Vice President JD Vance attended a Southampton fundraiser Wednesday whose listed hosts included Omeed Malik and Chris Buskirk, founders of 1789 Capital — the investment firm that backed Carlson’s post-Fox media venture.

And Buskirk isn’t some random donor who wandered into MAGA last Tuesday. Vance and Buskirk co-founded the powerful Rockbridge Network in 2019, an organization Reuters previously reported was designed to finance conservative media, polling and voter-turnout operations and build a lasting infrastructure around Trump’s nationalist movement.

So underneath all the wonderfully entertaining insults sits a serious political question. The fight over what happens after Trump has already started.

Carlson, Greene and their allies say America First means opposition to foreign wars and the foreign-policy establishment. Trump says these former allies have become irrelevant malcontents attacking the movement that made them influential in the first place.

And somewhere between the two camps sits Vice President JD Vance — heir apparent to Trump’s movement, longtime friend of Carlson and a political product of the very donor network connected to both worlds. That could eventually make for one heck of an uncomfortable family dinner.

MY QUICK TAKE

Remember when Democrats were supposed to have the civil war?

Apparently MAGA looked over and said: Hold my beer.

We’ve now reached the point where Donald Trump is calling Tucker Carlson stupid, Tucker says Trump betrayed MAGA, Marjorie Taylor Greene has become Marjorie Taylor Brown, Thomas Massie is apparently a “JERK,” and everybody involved insists they are the true keeper of the America First flame.

But here’s the part worth watching: Trump can dismiss Tucker as irrelevant all he wants, but Tucker still speaks to a substantial chunk of the same populist, anti-establishment audience that helped put Trump in the White House. And JD Vance has a foot in both neighborhoods.

That makes this less interesting as Trump vs. Tucker than as a preview of the fight over who inherits MAGA when Trump finally leaves the stage.
