Black MAGA influencer demands answers after tearful exit from Paxton rally

THE DAILY BS: HOW MUCH CAN YOU HANDLE?

SPARE ME THE BS (I’ve got things to do).

  • Conservative creator Thelma Louise says she was escorted from Ken Paxton’s October 18 rally in San Antonio after driving two hours to attend.
  • The Trump campaign volunteer says she was filming the event when she was told Paxton’s campaign manager wanted her removed.
  • As of Tuesday morning’s reporting check, no public campaign explanation for her removal could be located; Mediaite and the San Antonio Current reported unanswered requests for comment.

LAY IT ON ME (I’ve got time).

Thelma Louise went to Ken Paxton’s rally to promote a Republican candidate. She left demanding an explanation from his campaign.

That explanation remains missing. As of Tuesday morning, October 20, no public response addressing the Black conservative influencer’s removal could be located. Both Mediaite and the San Antonio Current reported that Paxton’s campaign had not immediately answered their requests for comment.

Louise, who has more than 200,000 TikTok followers, documented her two-hour trip to Sunday’s early-voting rally at Crown Ridge Banquet Hall in San Antonio. The event featured Paxton, Texas’ attorney general and Republican Senate nominee, and Republican congressional candidate Brandon Herrera.

Her videos began with the enthusiasm of a supporter arriving to cover the event. They ended with her outside, visibly upset.

“Someone just came up to me and said that Ken Paxton’s campaign manager wanted me to leave,” she said. “I did nothing wrong.”

According to the San Antonio Current, Louise said security approached while she was recording a speaker who appeared before Paxton. A clip captured her asking whether anyone could discuss the decision with her; the answer was no.

Louise says she was there to gather footage for social media, not disrupt the rally.

“I have done nothing but support everyone on the Republican side, and this is how I get treated?” she asked.

She subsequently described her Republican credentials: leaving the Democratic Party two years ago, volunteering for Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign and serving as a Trump Force captain.

In follow-up videos, she displayed media badges from earlier Republican gatherings, including the Texas Youth Summit and a Republican midterm convention in Dallas.

Those badges documented previous events. Whether a registration or credential issue played any role in Sunday’s removal remains unanswered.

There is a separate campaign response circulating in related coverage, but it concerns a different person. IBTimes UK reported that Paxton’s campaign attributed a journalist’s removal from another event to a dispute over press registration. That statement did not explain what happened to Louise.

Her own account leaves the central question exactly where it started: Why was a supporter filming the rally escorted outside?
