Rep. Rashida Tlaib falsely announces Israel bombed Gaza hospital, killing 500; NY Times quietly changes headlines

by

Days after Hamas terrorists attacked Israel, killing over 1,000 civilians, U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib remained silent. But she wasted almost no time taking to social media to lambaste Israel for allegedly launching an airstrike on a hospital and “killing 500 Palestinians”

The Michigan Democrat, joined by left-leaning media outlets that also ran with the narrative, also slammed President Joe Biden for not facilitating a ceasefire.

“Israel just bombed the Baptist Hospital killing 500 Palestinians (doctors, children, patients) just like that,” tweeted the member of the progressive “Squad” of Democrats in the House.

“[President Biden] this is what happens when you refuse to facilitate a ceasefire [and] help de-escalate,” she added. “Your war and destruction only approach has opened my eyes and many Palestinian Americans and Muslims Americans like me. We will remember where you stood.”

Fellow Squad member, Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, also spewed her outrage at Israel.

Others also joined in spreading the story, including The New York Times which changed its own headlines multiple times.

But just as quickly as the anti-Israel Tlaib and others unleashed their indignant fury, word came that, in fact, Israel did not launch an airstrike at a Christian hospital in Gaza.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the claims in a tweet on X.

“From the analysis of the operational systems of the IDF, an enemy rocket barrage was carried out towards Israel, which passed through the vicinity of the hospital when it was hit,” a spokesperson from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) tweeted on an official account.

Tlaib and others were excoriated on the social media platform.
