Former Fox News host Chris Wallace evidently has no concerns about karma as he took a cheap shot at his former colleague, Tucker Carlson.
Wallace, who left Fox News for CNN in 2021, spoke with MSNBC’s Ari Melber on Wednesday about Carlson’s criticism of him following the 2020 election. In private text messages revealed in Dominion Voting Systems’ lawsuit against Fox last year, Carlson had accused Wallace and others at the network of trying to “wreck” the conservative audience. The popular Fox News host was fired by the network soon after the lawsuit was settled.
“Your response,” Melber said to Wallace on “The Beat” as he read off the text messages.
“Well, I’m employed and Tucker really isn’t anymore. So, that’s part of my response,” Wallace shot back. “I had a very good 18-year run at Fox, and they never messed with me the whole time.”
Wallace recounted that he sensed “a change in Fox” after then-President Donald Trump’s 2020 loss, noting that Trump supporters were “very upset with us.”
“There was less interest in – even in the news side – in sticking to the facts, sticking to the truth, and more in telling that audience, to try to win them back, what they wanted to hear,” he said.
“And they paid a big price for it. You know, you talk about the misinformation about the elections. You know, I have to say I’m not unhappy that Fox had to pay $787 million because there ought to be a price to pay when you don’t tell the truth and you deliberately misinform people about things that the evidence, in that case, showed that higher-ups at Fox knew wasn’t true,” he added.
Wallace’s smug response to Carlson’s criticism and his self-satisfaction drew scathing reactions on social media.
Watching Chris Wallace take cheap shots at his former Fox News colleague @TuckerCarlson – low class and bad form. By the way, Chris had the lowest-rated program at Fox.

Chris Wallace is not relevant. Tucker is.

He’s a little green eyed. Can you imagine Chris getting the same viewership that Tuckers gotten since leaving fox? Never would it happen. America loves Tucker because he truthful, even when it’s uncomfortable.

He is saying that he is employed and Tucker who owns his own network is what? Interesting!

Chris Wallaces audience is made up of whatever his current network platform brings to him. Can the same be said of Tucker Carlson? … mic drop
