It’s almost easy to forget that the United States has a current president and vice president.
While Joe Biden is resting after frolicking in the Amazon rainforest with his family on our taxpayer dime and escalating the war with Russia on his way out the door, VP Kamala Harris will be watching the world explode from Hawaii. The joyless failed candidate is vacationing in the paradise state to presumably unburden herself from what has been.
Many are saying she deserves a rest after coming off of such a hard-fought presidential campaign. There’s an easy one-word response to that sentiment, and it starts with a “T.” Also, she had a rest for three and a half years as the VP. After all, she did admittedly watch Joe Biden “run circles around her.”
The White House staff is on it, though.
“She will definitely be available for any tie votes,” a Harris senior aide told NBC News. Another aide indicated Harris would return from her trip in December.
