Steve Bannon went scorched earth on President Donald Trump’s Department of Justice over the snail’s pace of action taken to bring down the Deep State.
The former Trump adviser warned of a “firestorm” from the president’s supporters if the DOJ continues doing nothing in terms of investigations and indictments, sounding the alarm on Monday that “the Deep State is winning right now.”
Bannon spoke with Jack Posobiec about the many events that have unfolded in recent weeks that should have the Justice Department working overtime to get answers, including attacks on Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and various leaks.
“We’re not doing anything over at Justice Department. I don’t see investigations, I don’t see indictments,” Bannon said on his War Room podcast.
“And I’m telling you I’m hearing, and I wanna give a warning: If the guys around Hegseth, if there’s indictments or investigations going on, and there’s no indictments, and there’s no release of the Epstein Files, and there’s no investigations of Brennan and the 51, and you’re not spending your time on that, but somehow gets diverted over this, it is going to be a firestorm from the MAGA base,” he warned.
“I think people are fed up with it. I think Tom Fitton gives a lot of the frustration that in the first hundred days, we’ve seen nothing out of that crowd — zero. With all the hard work that went in to get him [Trump] there, you know, we’ve seen nothing,” he continued.
“And now they’re talking about, Jack, some investigation of the guys around Hegseth. And I’m not saying there shouldn’t be something over there, maybe it is, but that’s a Pete Hegseth call, right? And it shouldn’t be DOJ or anybody like that jumping in there because you haven’t done your primary job, which is to take down the Deep State,” argued Bannon, who served as the White House’s chief strategist in Trump’s first administration.
“People, we are burning daylight!” he exclaimed in frustration.
“These people are playing smashmouth, they’re playing hardball, and the Deep State is winning right now,” Bannon continued. “Jack, am I wrong to say the Deep-, with everything President Trump’s doing in the reorientation-, he’s one man, he’s got everything on his shoulders, he needs some support, he needs some help, he needs some assistance. It’s incumbent upon us to do it.”
“But people gotta get in there and put their shoulders to the wheel,” he said.
Bannon has been vocal about his frustrations in recent weeks, emphasizing how the clock is running out with an unacceptable amount of action.

Bannon shows the same frustration a lot of us are over the lack of any arrests being made by the DOJ or the FBI
