‘Congress is now self-deporting!’ Congresswoman implies she’s not leaving El Salvador without MS-13 thug

by

U.S. Rep. Maxine Dexter’s gaslighting video from El Salvador set off cheerful speculation about replacing her seat in Congress.

The Oregon Democrat posted a video update of her trip to El Salvador, where she and several colleagues have traveled to demand the release of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was deported from the U.S. and remains imprisoned. Dexter sounded the alarm over the “constitutional crisis” allegedly caused by the Trump administration, which “ignored” a court order to “effectuate and facilitate” Garcia’s return to the U.S.

But her so-solemn message about the importance of Garcia’s case to the rest of America prompted mockery on social media, where X users offered to send a moving truck and replace her congressional seat while she sits waiting in El Salvador.

Dexter called Garcia’s current status a “threat to all people in the United States who could be illegally abducted, detained, and transported internationally against their will.”

“This is what we have all been calling a constitutional crisis, yet it is more severe than anything we’ve seen,” the Democrat added.

In posting her video message, Dexter captioned, “I am in El Salvador because I will not stand by while our country is thrown into a constitutional crisis. This is a moment to act. I will not rest until due process is upheld for all.”

Social media users pointed out that the congresswoman’s intent to stay in El Salvador to spring Garcia from prison effectively means she is unable to fulfill her duties in Washington, D.C.

Many invited Dexter to stay put and do Americans a favor, while others blasted the Democrat for ignoring her own constituents.
