Tucker Carlson says, ‘Oh of course’ Fox News is ‘anti-Christian,’ reveals wife’s response to firing

by

Tucker Carlson, in a recent podcast appearance with Turning Point USA’s Alex Clark, claimed that his former employer, Fox News, is “anti-Christian.” This assertion came during a discussion about his departure from the network in 2023, where he recounted his wife’s reaction to the news.

During the “Culture Apothecary” podcast, Alex Clark asked Carlson about his 2023 firing from Fox News. Carlson stated that his wife’s immediate reaction to the news was “thank God!” When asked why, he explained, “She thought they were really anti-Christian.” Carlson then affirmed his agreement with this assessment, stating, “Oh, of course. Yeah, yeah.”

Carlson elaborated that the network is uncomfortable with Christian perspectives. He offered a hypothetical example: discussing the views of Christians in the West Bank regarding Israeli occupation. Carlson suggested that raising such a topic would lead to dismissal from Fox News, emphasizing, “you’d be out of there.”

For the record, Carlson’s opinion on Fox News is based on his own personal experiences, but from an outward perspective, the network has multiple overtly Christian personalities who often speak freely about their faith on air. We are reporting, you are deciding.

In fact, there were several voices which immediately came to Fox’s defense. The most compelling argument came from former Fox News host Todd Starnes who wrote on X, “I worked at @FoxNews for nearly 15 years — across all their platforms. I was the most-read columnist on their digital platform for years. And I led the culture war coverage. I can say without a doubt that the accusations being leveled by some social media influencers that Fox News is anti-Christian are simply untrue. During my time at Fox, Suzanne Scott was a fierce defender of religious liberty.”

Beyond the Fox News discussion, Carlson and Clark touched upon several other subjects during the nearly hour-long interview:

  • The “MAHA” (Make America Healthy Again) branch of MAGA.
  • Elon Musk’s departure from the Trump administration.
  • The controversy surrounding the Jeffrey Epstein memo, particularly the focus on Attorney General Pam Bondi.

Carlson also spoke at TPUSA’s Student Action Summit, an event that garnered attention for a viral moment involving border czar Tom Homan and an immigration heckler.

CARLSON: I said, Suzanne Scott just called me and they canceled my show and my wife was with our dogs and she goes, “What, why?” And I said I don’t know, they wouldn’t tell me and she goes, “Thank God!”

CLARK: No way!

CARLSON: First thing. First thing she said, thank God, thank God.

CLARK: Why’d she say that you think?

CARLSON: She thought they were really anti-Christian.

CLARK: Oh really?

CARLSON: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

CLARK: Do you agree?

CARLSON: Oh, of course. Yeah, yeah.

CLARK: Why do you say that?

CARLSON: It just makes them uncomfortable. They’re not comfortable with that at all. If you said on Fox, which I don’t think I ever did, I probably should have, but like, hey, how are the Christians of the West Bank doing?

CLARK: Hmm.

CARLSON: Like, how’s Bethlehem doing, where Jesus was born? The Church and the Nativity, it’s got to be. That’s not the most sacred site in Christendom, I’m not sure what is. Jesus was born in Bethlehem. It’s the Church of the Nativities. Let’s call the rector of the Church and Nativity and ask him what he thinks of Israeli occupation. Just as a Christian, I think it’s totally fair. Woof. I mean, you’d be out of there.

CLARK: Really?

CARLSON: Of course. I mean you’re not allowed to say -are you joking? No!
