The fabricated frenzy unfolded primarily on X, where progressive journalists and anti-Trump activists speculated wildly about the President’s health and supposed “disappearance.” The spark? An innocuous detail from Trump’s schedule: no public events were listed for the weekend. This minor note became fuel for a full-blown conspiracy theory, despite zero evidence of anything out of the ordinary.
Veteran journalist Laura Rozen helped fan the flames with a post that read: “Trump has no public events scheduled all weekend. Don’t believe he was seen today either,” attaching a screenshot of the official White House schedule.
The speculation spread like wildfire across liberal circles online, with some suggesting Trump was incapacitated, while others floated darker theories. Mainstream media outlets, unsurprisingly, either remained silent or subtly entertained the gossip.
But the truth was far less dramatic—and far more embarrassing for the left.
While progressives were spinning wild narratives, President Trump was, in fact, active and in plain sight. On Friday night, he gave a detailed interview to the Daily Caller, answering questions directly from the White House. The interview, which quickly went viral among conservative accounts, proved beyond doubt that Trump was alive, well, and fully engaged.
To further drive the point home, Trump was later spotted golfing on Saturday at his course in Virginia—hardly the activity of a man on his deathbed. Still, he chose not to immediately dignify the rumors with a response. That came Sunday, when he took to his own platform, Truth Social, to set the record straight.
“NEVER FELT BETTER IN MY LIFE. Also, DC IS A CRIME FREE ZONE! President DJT,” Trump declared in a post replying to popular conservative commentator @DC_Draino.
The original post by @DC_Draino rightly blasted the media for its glaring double standard, saying: “Joe Biden would go multiple days at a time without any public appearances and the media would say he’s ‘sharp’ and ‘top of his game.’ Meanwhile, he was wearing diapers and napping.” Trump not only reposted this, but endorsed it with a laughably sharp response of his own.
Still, the left clung to scraps of speculation. Photos showing light bruising on Trump’s hand led some armchair pundits to suggest he was undergoing IV treatments. But the official word from White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was clear: the bruising came from “vigorous hand-shaking.” Leavitt acknowledged that Trump suffers from “chronic venous insufficiency,” a condition affecting circulation and sometimes causing ankle swelling. However, she confirmed that there was no evidence of deep vein thrombosis or arterial disease—a key point ignored by most media outlets.
That didn’t stop liberal talking heads and even a few medical experts from floating the idea that Trump could be dealing with something more serious, like congestive heart failure. These unverified theories are eerily reminiscent of the way legacy media dismissed or outright ignored very real concerns about Joe Biden’s frequent cognitive lapses, public stumbles, and increasing reliance on aides.
Meanwhile, when asked whether he was prepared to step in if needed, Trump’s VP J.D. Vance gave a measured and confident response: “Yes, things can always happen.
