Author Stephen King starts newest bizarre Trump conspiracy as Left melts down

by

Leftist author and perennial Trump critic Stephen King is back in the headlines—this time peddling a bizarre conspiracy theory that President Donald Trump might have deliberately spread rumors of his own death.

In a post made on the far-left social media platform BlueSky, King speculated, “Trump is a hell of a carny pitchman, I have to give him that. When a ton of people tune in, he’s going to say he’s sending troops to Chicago. Probably started the rumor he’s sick or dead himself.”

King doubled down, writing, “Probably started the rumor he’s sick or dead himself.” The post quickly gained traction among BlueSky’s user base, a haven for progressive voices often critical of conservative figures.

However, contrary to King’s unsubstantiated claims, the rumors about Trump’s health or death did not originate from Trump or his supporters. In fact, the opposite is true: left-wing users on X and other platforms were the ones pushing baseless theories late last week that Trump had died or was gravely ill. The frenzy peaked Friday night and continued into Saturday morning, fueled by conspiracy-minded accounts and blue-check liberals desperately hoping for the end of Trump’s political comeback.

Even late-night TV couldn’t hide its disappointment. During a taping of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the studio audience audibly booed upon hearing the truth—that President Trump is very much alive and well. The reaction spoke volumes about the state of discourse in left-wing media circles, where reality often takes a back seat to ideological fantasy.

As the online hysteria grew, Trump responded with trademark trolling. In a Truth Social post, the president wrote, “NEVER FELT BETTER IN MY LIFE,” adding sarcastically, “Also, DC IS A CRIME FREE ZONE!”

Meanwhile, the legacy media and liberal influencers continue to fan the flames of division, while accusing conservatives of spreading “disinformation.” The irony here is hard to ignore: it was the left that pushed a false death narrative, only to turn around and accuse Trump of orchestrating it.
